The article discusses the derivational activeness of anthroponymes on the basis of word formation nests listed in the 'Slownik gniazd slowotwórczych wspólczesnego jezyka ogólnopolskiego' (2001) (The Dictionary of Word Formation Nests in Contemporary Standard Polish). The set of the word formation categories for words motivated by anthroponymes (word formation paradigm) bas been established. The article also presents a list of twenty five derivational models (that is, the configurations of parts of speech). The analysis is summarized in the graph which visually represents the structure of the analysed nests. Moreover, the article offers a comparison of nests constructed from anthroponymes and toponymes, the numbers in each category and corresponding word formation paradigms.
