Artykuł prezentuje różne postacie aksjomatu regularności (FA) oraz jego konsekwencje w systemie Zermelo-Fraenkla (ZFC). W pracy zasygnalizowane są pewne zastrzeżenia wobec FA oraz fakt, że nie jest on nieodzowny. Aksjomat ufundowania zachowuje swój apodyktyczny charakter tylko na gruncie teorii zbiorów regularnych – w innych przypadkach może nie być spełniony przez wszystkie zbiory. Jedna z najbardziej popularnych wersji FA nie może być traktowana jako miernik regularności zbiorów – nie oddaje ona bowiem w pełni ducha idei ufundowania

The paper presents different formulations of regularity axiom (FA) and its consequences in Zermelo-Fraenkel’s system (ZFC). Some objections to the axiom are emphasized and its indispensability is examined. It is also proved that FA in one of its formulations cannot be treated like a measure of sets regularity, because it doesn't meet the requirements that it was intended to meet.

Przedstawiono różne formy liturgicznej celebracji Wniebowstąpienia oraz zwyczaje pozaliturgiczne, które wywarły wpływ na kształt pobożności ludowej.

The paper focuses on presenting the liturgical origins of the Solemnity of the Ascension. Different names of the feast are pointed out and the testimonies of the oldest celebrations are recalled. The paper discusses also various forms of celebration and folk customs associated with Solemnity of the Ascension over years.

The paper analyzes the rules of equal treatment existing in polish law. The principle of equal treatment is described. This principle is grounded on the act of 3rd December 2010 on the implementation of certain provisions of the European Union in the field of equal treatment. An equal treatment is also guaranteed by the Polish Constitution. It turns out that the act of 3rd December 2010 raises some doubts on compatibility with the Constitution. The article gives an answer to the question weather the principle of equal treatment threatens the constitutional freedom of conscience.

Artykuł referuje polski stan prawny w zakresie równego traktowania, a w szczególności prezentuje tzw. zasadę równego traktowania, sformułowaną w ustawie z dnia 3 grudnia 2010 r. o wdrożeniu niektórych przepisów Unii Europejskiej w zakresie równego traktowania, zwanej także „ustawą antydyskryminacyjną”. Praca wykazuje, że pewne słabe punkty wspomnianej ustawy rodzą wątpliwości natury konstytucyjnej. W artykule zostały przywołane dwa wyroki sądowe, uznające winnymi pozwanych za złamanie zakazu dyskryminacji. Te wyroki – w opinii autora pracy – świadomie omijają lukę w ustawie antydyskryminacyjnej i przyznając rację powodom, jednocześnie uderzają w gwarantowaną konstytucyjnie wolność sumienia pozwanych. Na tej podstawie można wyciągnąć pesymistyczny wniosek, że niewłaściwie zinterpretowana zasada równego traktowania może w pewnych sytuacjach zagrażać obywatelskiej wolności sumienia.

W dniach 9–14 września 2019 roku na Katolickim Uniwersytecie Lubelskim Jana Pawła II odbywał się XI Polski Zjazd Filozoficzny. Tego typu zjazdy od prawie stu lat wpisują się w życie naukowe polskich filozofów. Każde ze spotkań jest okazją do wymiany myśli, prezentacji aktualnego stanu badań z zakresu filozofii, czy też integracji świata polskich filozofów. Niniejsze sprawozdanie w początkowej części wyjaśnia ideę przyświecającą polskim zjazdom filozoficznym oraz przedstawia krótko ich historię. Następnie podane są szczegóły merytoryczne i organizacyjne dotyczące ostatniego zjazdu w Lublinie. Na koniec przedstawiono plany związane z następnym takim wydarzeniem.

On September 9–14, the 11th Polish Philosophical Congress was held at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. Conventions of this kind have been a part of the scientific life of Polish philosophers for almost a century. Each meeting is an opportunity to exchange ideas, present the current state of research in the field of philosophy, or integrate the world of Polish philosophers. Initially, this report presents the idea behind Polish philosophical conventions and briefly describes their history. Then, substantive and organizational details of the last congress in Lublin are given. Finally, plans for the next such event are presented.

The COVID-19 pandemic, which surfaced in early 2020, has become an opportunity for theologians and philosophers to sort out several dogmatic issues. One of the tasks that were undertaken was an attempt to establish the place of the old devotional practice called spiritual communion in the religious order. Spiritual communion is usually defined as the earnest desire to receive sacramental communion, which can arouse in a believer in situations when it is not possible to receive the Eucharist physically. Most often, this desire is accompanied by appropriate prayer. However, theologians are not unanimous about the effectiveness of spiritual communion: some argue that spiritual communion is as effective as sacramental communion, while others claim that the effectiveness of spiritual communion cannot be equated with that of sacramental communion. The aim of this study is to justify the thesis that sacramental communion always surpasses spiritual communion in terms of effectiveness. This can be supported by statements of Thomas Aquinas and the Council of Trent, as well as a philosophical analysis of the fact of incarnation that God made in order to enter into a physical, not just spiritual, community with humans.

Pandemia koronawirusa Sars-CoV-2, która wybuchła na początku roku 2020, stała się dla teologów i filozofów okazją do uporządkowania kilku kwestii dogmatycznych. Jednym z zadań, które podjęto w tym czasie, była próba precyzyjnego ustalenia miejsca w porządku religijnym dawnej praktyki pobożnościowej zwanej komunią duchową. Komunię duchową definiuje się zwykle jako usilne pragnienie przyjęcia Komunii sakramentalnej, które może wzbudzić w sobie osoba wierząca w sytuacji, kiedy nie ma możliwości przystąpienia do Eucharystii dosłownie. Najczęściej temu pragnieniu towarzyszy odpowiednia modlitwa. W kwestii skuteczności komunii duchowej teologowie nie są jednak jednomyślni: jedni twierdzą, że komunia duchowa jest równie skuteczna, co Komunia sakramentalna, inni natomiast uważają, że skuteczności komunii duchowej nie można zrównywać ze skutecznością Komunii sakramentalnej. Celem niniejszej pracy jest podanie uzasadnienia tezy, że Komunia sakramentalna zawsze przewyższa pod względem skuteczności komunię duchową. Na rzecz tej tezy przemawiają wypowiedzi m.in. Tomasza z Akwinu, Soboru Trydenckiego, jak również filozoficzna analiza faktu inkarnacji, którego dokonał Bóg, by wejść w realną, a nie tylko duchową wspólnotę z człowiekiem.

Jest to książka bardzo ważna i od lat wyczekiwana przez rodzime środowisko ruralistyki historycznej. Publikacja ma charakter interdyscyplinarny, prezentujący złożony (historycznie, administracyjnie, gospodarczo i społecznie) proces powstania, funkcjonowania i schyłku wiejskich form osadniczych, wieloaspektowo i z wykorzystaniem aparatu badawczego i metodologicznego wypracowanego przez badaczy różnych dyscyplin i subdyscyplin naukowych. Znajdziemy tu artykuły archeologiczne, historyczne, geograficzne, etnograficzne i antropologiczne, a sygnalizowany interdyscyplinarny charakter całego tomu, widoczny jest również - oczywiście w różnej skali - we wszystkich znajdujących się w książce artykułach.

The following text presents reflections on the collective monograph entitled: The Lost Village. The Current Status and Prospects for Researches, edited by Przemysław Nocuń, Agnieszka Przybyła-Dumin and Krzysztof Fokt, and published by the Museum “Upper Silesian Ethnographic Park in Chorzów” in 2016. This is a very important book, which has been fervently awaited by the researchers of rural history for years. The publication is interdisciplinary, presenting the complicated (historically, administratively, economically, and socially) process of founding, functioning and declining of rural settlement forms in a multi-aspect way with the use of research and methodological means elaborated by researchers of various scientific disciplines and sub-disciplines. The monograph includes archaeological, historical, geographic, ethnographic and anthropological articles. The signalized above interdisciplinary character of the whole volume is visible, naturally in a varied degree, in all articles published in the book.

Identification of railway transport as a key element of sustainable and effective transport showcases the necessity of strengthening the role it plays, both on the EU policy level as well as in the EU Member States. The consequence of such a policy is strong financial support allocated to the railway sector, e.g. in the form of infrastructural investments. This leads to questions on the efficiency of such support and its influence on the railway sector. In this respect, the analysis of the public support impact on railway transport in relation to variables describing the condition of this sector has been conducted. The analysis was focused on the evaluation of the impact of railway infrastructure investments. The results indicate significant differences in the effects among particular countries, illustrating the heterogeneous impact of an independent variable on measures concerning transport performance in passenger and freight services (passenger-kilometre and tonne-kilometre). Countries with higher support for infrastructure investments, in general, achieve better results in respect to the above-mentioned measures. Nevertheless, the strength of this impact is highly differential, which indicates the necessity of increasing the efficiency of infrastructural investments in the railway sector in particular countries.

Identyfikacja transportu kolejowego, jako kluczowego dla funkcjonowania zrównoważonego i efektywnego systemu transportowego, skutkuje wskazaniem na poziomie polityki zarówno Unii Europejskiej (UE), jak i poszczególnych państw członkowskich konieczności zwiększania roli tego środka transportu. Polityka ta przekłada się na silne wsparcie finansowe alokowane w sektorze transportu, m.in. w formie finansowania inwestycji infrastrukturalnych. Podejmowanie takich działań rodzi pytanie o efektywność wsparcia i jego wpływ na stan sektora transportu. W przeprowadzonym badaniu przeanalizowano wpływ wsparcia publicznego na transport kolejowy w odniesieniu do szeregu wskaźników, opisujących stan tego sektora. Analiza objęła ocenę wpływu wsparcia inwestycji infrastrukturalnych. Wyniki wskazują na znaczne zróżnicowanie efektów pomiędzy poszczególnymi państwami, wykazując niejednorodny wpływ zmiennej na wskaźniki odnoszące się do pracy przewozowej (pasażero-kilometry i tono-kilometry). Kraje silniej wspierające inwestycje infrastrukturalne co do zasady charakteryzują się lepszymi wynikami w zakresie opisywanych wskaźników. Niemniej siła wpływu inwestycji na pracę przewozową jest mocno zróżnicowana, co wskazuje na konieczność zwiększania efektywności tej formy wsparcia sektora kolejowego w poszczególnych krajach.

The article discusses the so-called periphery of Polish Futurism, especially the activities of those known as the “Youngest Warsaw futurists”, who to this day are considered only as imitators or even plagiarists of writers such as Bruno Jasieński and Aleksander Wat, the artists who represent the mainstream of this literary movement. These groups (“Warsaw Katarynka”, “Homunkulus”) were active in literary field in the years 1921-1924, but most of their ephemera (“jednodniówki” – once-lived publications) have so far been considered missing. The article attempts for the first time to sort out the chronology of these publications and to show them in the broader context of “recognised” Futurist publications.

The article describes the importance of public performance for the image of the Futurists, mainly of Bruno Jasieński. The impressions that the artists gained from Helena Buczyń-ska’s ‘word-arts’ performance, and Scriabin’s idea of ‘Art Religion’ they were exposed to, inspired the young poets. The article finishes with enumeration of several inspira-tions that are being found in Jasieński’s texts by modern musicians adapting his poetry.

Written by a primary school teacher, the article illustrates the specific situation of teachers’ training in an educational institution. The author’s observations are based on his own educational training experience. Referring to the contemporary theory and practice of knowledge management, the author presents the elements of educational training for teachers which are inconsistent with the current adult education standards. The author provides a critique of certain aspects of professional development such as learning through experience, self-education teams or training meetings. All the forms of educational and professional development mentioned above are being practised in the author’s regular place of work. The article not only discusses the role and forms of teachers’ professional development but also presents the author’s opinion about the current condition of contemporary school.

Autor artykułu jest nauczycielem w szkole podstawowej. Bazując na swoim doświadczeniu, ilustruje sytuację związaną z uczeniem się nauczycieli w placówce oświatowej. W oparciu o współczesną teorię i praktykę zarządzania wiedzą, ukazuje elementy, które są niespójne z obecnie obowiązującymi standardami uczenia się dorosłych. Krytycznym spojrzeniem obejmuje takie obszary rozwoju zawodowego jak uczenie się przez doświadczenie, zespoły samokształceniowe oraz rady szkoleniowe. Wszystkie te formy rozwijania własnych kompetencji odbywają się na terenie jego macierzystej placówki. Artykuł jest próbą włączenia się pedagoga-praktyka w dyskusję o roli i formach rozwoju zawodowego nauczycieli oraz kondycji współczesnej szkoły.

The article presents the latest results of archaeological studies on the 8th-10th century hillforts in the Sudetes. The authors present previously unknown structures, found through the analysis of aerial scans using the ALS method. Excavation and office studies conducted since 2005 in the Sudetes also allowed for correcting the chronology of some previously known hillfort sites. The article also presents a discussion on the structures referred to as ‘quasi-hillforts’ and those considered to be destroyed. The findings are concluded by a summary of changes in the archaeological research of the early medieval Sudetes over the last 15 years, i.e. since the publication of the last monograph devoted to hillforts in this part of Central Europe.

Medieval Silesian written sources mention several times a castle under the name of Landeshut, located within the present-day town of Kamienna Góra. It bears the same name in documents from the 13th century and later. In fact, the stronghold was located not within the walls of the medieval town, but on Zamkowa Góra [Castle Mountain] adjacent to it from the east. It was not until 2018 that the first archaeological study was undertaken there, which yielded up results indicating that the first fortifications on the hill can be traced back to the Early Middle Ages. The excavations have also provided a new insight into the mutual relations between the town of Landeshut and the Landeshut Castle in the Late Middle Ages, mainly in the late 13th and 1st half of the 14th century.
