Komunikat prezentuje krakowski druk dzieła Bernarda z Clairvaux Sposób mądrego i dobrego życia, który ukazał się w oficynie wdowy i dziedziców Franciszka Cezarego w 1652 r. Na omawiany egzemplarz natrafiono w trakcie prac inwentaryzacyjnych prowadzonych w zbiorach Archiwum Archidiecezjalnego w Gnieźnie. Okazuje się, że wspomnianego wydania nie notują podstawowe polskie bibliografie i katalogi drukowane. Edycja została dedykowana ksieni zwierzynieckiej Eufrozynie Korycińskiej przez Michała Brokarda Meleciusa. W większości składa się ona z kart pochodzących z wcześniejszego wydania dzieła z 1630 r.

The communication presents the Cracow printing of the work by Bernard of Clairvaux The manner to live a wise and good life, which was published in the publishing house of the widow and successors of Franciszek Cezary in 1652. The copy discussed here was found during inventory works in the Archdiocesan Archive in Gniezno. It turns out that Polish bibliographies and printed catalogues fail to include this publication. The edition was dedicated to the abbess of the convent in Zwierzyniec – Eufrozyna Korycińska by Michał Melecius. It consists of pages from the earlier publication of the work in 1630.

Der Bericht schildert den Krakauer Druck des Werkes von Bernhard von Clairvaux Sposób mądrego i dobrego życia [Vom weisen und guten Leben], das in der Druckerei der Witwe und der Erben Franciszek Cezarys 1652 erschien. Auf das besagte Exemplar stieß man während der Inventarisierungsarbeiten in den Beständen des Erzbischöflichen Archivs in Gnesen. Es erwies sich, dass die erwähnte Ausgabe in den grundlegenden polnischen Bibliografien und gedruckten Katalogen bisher nicht erwähnt wurde. Michael Brokard Melecius widmete die Edition der Äbtissin von Zwierzyniec Eufrozyna Korycińska. Größtenteils besteht sie aus Blättern aus der früheren Ausgabe von 1630.

Cel: Celem komunikatu jest zaprezentowanie nieznanego dotąd w literaturze przedmiotu monumentum króla Zygmunta II Augusta. Natrafiono na nie w trakcie prac prowadzonych w ramach projektu grantowego: „Inwentaryzacja zasobu biblioteki katedralnej w Gnieźnie”. Metoda badawcza: Analiza formalna woluminu uzupełniona przez przegląd literatury. Wyniki/Wnioski: Księga skrywa dzieło Germaniae exegeseos, autorstwa Franciszka Irenicusa, które ukazało się w 1518 r. w Hagenau w oficynie Thomasa Anshelma, nakładem Johanna Kobergera. Oprawa druku, opatrzona księgoznakami monarchy, powstała w 1560 r. w drugiej introligatorni wileńskiej. Wolumin jest wyzbyty dawnych sygnatur, not i znaków własnościowych, które mogłyby wskazać, w jaki sposób trafił on do zbiorów Archiwum Archidiecezjalnego w Gnieźnie.

Aim: The presented volume constitutes the monumentum of King Sigismund II August, hitherto unknown to the literature on the subject. It was discovered during works carried out under the grant project: “Inventory of the library of the cathedral library in Gniezno”. Research method: A formal analysis of the volume supplemented by a review of the literature of the subject matter. Conclusions: The book contains the work Germaniae exegeseos written by Franciszek Irenicus, which appeared in 1518 in Hagenau in the publishing house of Thomas Anshel, being issued by Johann Koberger. The book binding, bearing the monarch’s bookmarks, was created in 1560 in the second bookbindery in Vilnius. The volume is deprived of old signatures, notes and property marks that could indicate how it had become part of the collection of the Archdiocesan Archives in Gniezno.

Ziel: Der vorgestellte Band ist eines der in der Fachliteratur bisher unbekannten Monumenta des Königs Sigismund II. August. Er wurde während der Inventarisierungsarbeiten im Rahmen des Projektes „Inwentaryzacja zasobu biblioteki katedralnej w Gnieźnie“ [Die Inventarisierung des Bestands der Dombibliothek in Gnesen] entdeckt. Forschungsmethode: Formalanalyse der Handschrift und Literaturübersicht. Ergebnisse/Schlussfolgerungen: Das Buch enthält das Werk Germaniae exegeseos von Franz Irenicus, das 1518 in Hagenau im Verlagshaus Thomas Anshelms von Johann Koberger veröffentlicht wurde. Der Druckeinband, mit Buchzeichen des Königs versehen, entstand 1560 in der zweiten Buchbindewerkstatt in Vilnius. Der Band besitzt weder alte Signaturen, Noten noch Eigentumszeichen, die es bestätigen könnten, wie er sich in den Beständen des Erzdiözesanen Archivs in Gnesen fand.

This article describes the bindings of three sixteenth-century prints that once belonged to the rich collection of Wojciech Mieliński, who was the Abbot of Trzemeszno and who died in 1621. The decoration of these bindings indicates that thay most probably came from Melchior Nering’s bookbinding workshop while that craftsman was still connected with Poznań. The three volumes in question are currently kept in the Archdiocesan Archives in Gniezno.

Artykuł przedstawia trzy oprawy, które zabezpieczają szesnastowieczne druki należące niegdyś do bogatej kolekcji opata trzemeszeńskiego Wojciecha Mielińskiego (zm. 1621). Jak się okazuje, zostały one sporządzone najprawdopodobniej w introligatorni Melchiora Neringa, w okresie, gdy rzemieślnik ten był jeszcze związany z Poznaniem. Na wymienioną atrybucję przedstawianych dzieł wskazuje dekoracja ich okładzin. Trzy omawiane woluminy przechowywane są obecnie w zbiorach Archiwum Archidiecezjalnego w Gnieźnie.

The decoration of these bindings indicates that they most probably came from Melchior Nering’s bookbinding workshop while this craftsman was still connected with Poznań. Na wymienioną atrybucję przedstawianych dzieł wskazuje dekoracja ich okładzin. Trzy omawiane woluminy przechowywane są obecnie w zbiorach Archiwum Archidiecezjalnego w Gnieźnie.
