One of the factors determining the number of employed workers is the business cycle. From theoretical point of view during the bettering (worsening) phase of the business cycle the number of employees increases (decreases). Creation and reduction of posts in the enterprises is the cause of the flow of employees between various firms and branches of economy. The authoress aimed at evaluating the business cycle influence on the number of employees in Poland in the period 1993-2002. Research was done both on the employment in enterprise's sector in general and in particular branches of economy such as manufacturing, construction, trade and repair, transport, storage and communication as well as real estate and business activities. The results allow to suppose that in Poland the fluctuation in the number of employed workers is influenced by the business cycle, but this influence is not very strong. Fluctuation in employment is pro-cyclical, which means that improvement (worsening) of the business cycle influences the growth (decline) of employment. It was also observed that there are some time leaks between reference cycle and employment. Employment is a lagging variable, which means that changes in the number of employees are lagged in relation to changes in the overall business cycle, usually with approximately 1 year of lag.

Entrepreneurship is a component of society's human capital that through its capacity to undertake the risk of business activity and the introduction of innovation plays a role in economic development. At the same time, entrepreneurship is influenced by the possibility of choice between employment, with its secure remuneration, and going into business, where potential profits are encumbered by the risk of failure. It is for this reason that the objective of presented studies is to define the degree to which the situation on the labor market had an impact on the entrepreneurship rate in Poland over the 1993-2003 period.

The article contains theoretical reflections about definitions connected with notions of pedagogics of health: health education and health socialization. The authoress refers to a domain of basic concepts of pedagogics. In discussing the meaning of health education she refers to A.M. de Tchorzewski's conception of education in its widest meaning. The authoress takes into consideration the question of purposes of health education, too. She watches these purposes in forming positive attitudes towards health. She presumes that an attitude towards health consists of three components. There are knowledge about health, emotional and behavioural components. Behavioural component manifests as human types of behaviour connected with their health.

The purpose of this paper is to present all the means expressing the category of possessivness in the old Croatian language. As the term itself is very extensive the transliterated text entilted 'Kolunicev zbornik' written in 1486 was taken as the basis. The base of the text is the cakavian ikavian dialect, nevertheless, it also contains the elements of the old church Slavonic language as well as the elements, mainly lexical ones, of kajkavian dialect. As the paper does not present a detailed description of the category of possessivness that is why only basic terms connected with it are explained. Among the means expressing the category of possessivness the use of the possessive genitive should be indicated as the most frequent and most popular. The results of the analysis and the role od possessive means in the standard Croatian language are presented in the final paragraph.

New proposition of a fingerprint for ferruginous raw material (haematite, ochre and others) provenance studies is presented. Crystallite size measurement of haematite appears to be a promising factor in determining a geological context (origin and age) of an examined raw material and ascribing it to a, more or less, determined sourcing area. Haematite of natural samples and artefacts from Palaeolithic sites was measured. The proposed method is convenient also for powdery ferruginous artefacts, so far usually undeterminable due to their size. The method allows to discern ferruginous powders and not powdered artefacts and natural samples that are macroscopically identical or similar but differing in origin or/and age. Thus, homogeneity of an assemblage of ferruginous artefacts can also be traced.
