Piciorys w przestrzeni dyskursu terapeutycznego. Wstęp do lingwistycznej charakterystyki gatunku

Piciorys (ang. story, personal story) to tekst autobiograficzny tworzony w trakcie terapii choroby alkoholowej, którego geneza związana jest z działalnością ruchu Anonimowych Alkoholików. W artykule podjęto próbę wstępnej charakterystyki gatunku sytuującą się w nurcie lingwistyki tekstu i dyskursu. Po zarysowaniu uwarunkowań pragmatycznych związanych z sytuacją komunikacyjną (mityng AA), wskazano specyficzne funkcje piciorysu (na tle innych narracji terapeutycznych) i przedstawiono zarys struktury tekstu. Piciorys oraz inne wzorowane na nim uzależnieniorysy można zaliczyć do rodziny gatunków (proponowana nazwa ponadgatunkowa: świadectwo przemiany), łącznie z takimi tekstami, jak: świadectwo religijne, coming out i samokrytyka.

Piciorys (Eng. Story, Personal Story) is an autobiographical text created by a person undergoing treatment for alcoholism. Its roots can be traced back to the activity of the Alcoholics Anonymous movement. In the article, attempts at making a preliminary description of the genre, within the boundaries of text and discourse linguistics, were made. After discussing pragmatic aspects of the communicative situation (AA meeting), specific functions of piciorys were pointed out (in comparison to other therapeutic texts) and the outline of text structure was laid out. Ways in which this particular text type, along with other similar stories based on different addictions, could be situated in the family of genres were suggested (suggested collective name: evolution testimony). The other similar genres include: religious testimony, coming out and self-criticism (pertaining to speeches at communist party conventions).

The article is a presentation of the previously undiscussed prayer book Dworskie nabożeństwo, published in 1781 in Kalisz, a city which has a long tradition of publishing, mainly connected with the activities of Jesuits. Currently there are 6 known copies of this anonymously published prayer book (commissioned for print “by a priest of the former order of The Society of Jesus”), including the one unknown to XX century bibliographers, found in the Library of Elbląg, which has been recovered and made available recently. Dworskie nabożeństwo is a book constructed in a very original way. It contains 368 identical hexamerous prayers. Parts of the prayers are placed in tables, in a way that makes the reader consciously reconstruct the whole prayer from the elements divided between different rows in the table.

The article is about the Polish version of Prayer for the Faithful Departed (Latin: Oratio pro fidelibus defunctis) in the contemporary prayer books. In the introduction, the origins of the text were described and the multitude of contexts it appears in was pointed out. Subsequently, its presence/absence in the prayer collections, surfacing titles and placement in differently profiled prayer book chapters were discussed.
