Introduction Kryzys ekonomiczny rozlewający się po całej Europie, Stanach Zjednoczonych, Zachodzie nie jest nowością. Co najwyżej można go traktować jako element kolejnego cyklu reprodukcji późnego kapitalizmu bądź jako nowy proces wzmacniający intensywne procesy globalizacji, z którymi świat boryka się od wielu już lat. Od kiedy wiemy, że nie TINA, że nie ma „końca historii” i że inny świat jest nie tylko możliwy, ale i konieczny, problem alterglobalizacji, zadanie wygenerowania historycznej alternatywy dla sypiącego się neoliberalnego porządku światowego jest coraz bardziej pilne i konieczne. Bez stworzenia takiej alternatywy, nowego paradygmatu cywilizacyjnego, wszelkie formy oporu, kontestacji, krytyki będą tylko chwilową transgresją, mniej lub bardziej miłą dla jej kreatorów, ale historycznie produkującą tylko mimowolnie złudzenie różnorodności kapitalistycznego świata, jego tolerancji, demokratyzmu i… wieczności.

The article presents the understanding of freedom and democracy from the perspective of Athusser’s theory of ideology. Freedom turns out to be a subtle medium of interpellation in modern capitalist society and plays a role similar to religion and god in feudal society. The foundation for the freedom is the individual, the private ownership of the workforce. Democracy is in the modern world concretization of freedom and as a kind of universalism fulfills today, like freedom, first of all functions of a war machine and epistemological obstacle. Freedom, democracy is a empty advanced vehicles for various ideological, political, philosophical content.

Jest ona budowana przez analogię do Marksowskich analiz realnego i formalnego podporządkowania pracy kapitałowi. Z tej perspektywy formalne podporządkowanie pracy kapitałowi, a także formalne podporządkowanie pracy planowi są tylko pośrednio określane przez poziom rozwoju sił wytwórczych. O ich realizacji decyduje aktualny stan walki klasowej.

The main goal of the paper is to discuss whether it is possible to build a contemporary version of Marxist theory based on what was the core of Karl Marx’ theoretical system e.d. theory of the class struggle and theory of the antycapitalist revolution. Any attempt to build such theory encounters epistemological obstacles and theoretical problems connected with issues such as: Bolshevik revolution, phenomenon of “Solidarity” and the fall of real socialism in the East Europe, TINA and the end of history. The thesis of the paper is that to continue Marx’s idea of the world revolution we have to deal with these problems and overcome the obstacles.
