Press texts establish conventions concerning the topics which they describe. Referring to example texts from the Deutsche Welle, this article focuses on aspects relevant to pragmatic textual analysis. The three selected texts deal with the representation of political actions in Poland. The proposed pragmatic analysis aims to capture the relations between objective and opinion-building elements in the basic type of text as a news item. Drawing on critical discourse analysis, a practical tool for analysis is introduced which groups relevant elements into categories.

Durch Pressetexte werden Konventionen über die darin dargestellten Themen etabliert. Am Beispiel dreier Nachrichten der Deutschen Welle über Polen betreffende Vorgänge sollen Aspekte einer pragmatischen Textanalyse erarbeitet werden. Zielsetzung ist es, Übergänge von sachlicher und meinungsbildender Formulierung innerhalb der Textsorte ‚Nachricht‘ zu bestimmen. Insgesamt soll mit Bezug auf die Kritische Diskursanalyse ein Analyseablauf erstellt werden, der relevante Elemente in fassbare Kategorien einteilt.

Wieland’s prose work, The History of Agathon (First issue 1766/67), represents a protagonist in his maturity process, which refers to the changing relations between the object world and interior understanding. This article connects the development with the philosophical debate between idealism and realism, which resulted in the attempted reconciliation of both positions by Immanuel Kant. Based on this, Agathon’s interpersonal relationships from Pythia to Danae are examined. The results will be seen as a gauge for his maturity process.

In Christoph Martin Wielands Geschichte des Agathon (Erste Fassung 1766/67) durchlauft der Protagonist einen inneren Reifeprozess, wobei das Verhaltnis innerlicher Erkenntnis im Wechselspiel mit der Objektwelt im Zentrum steht. Der nachfolgende Artikel bringt den Werdegang in Zusammenhang mit der philosophischen Debatte zwischen Idealismus und Realismus sowie der versuchten Versohnung beider Positionen durch Immanuel Kant. Auf dieser Grundlage sollen Agathons zwischenmenschliche Begegnungen von Pytia bis Danae uberpruft wie auch als Gradmesser seiner inneren Reifung betrachtet werden.
