Józef Sebastian Pelczar (1842-1924) was a professor (1877-1899) and the president (1882/83) of the Jagiellonian University. He became an assistant bishop in 1899 and the diocese bishop in Przemyśl in 1901. Ministry to the sick was an important part of his work.

Józef Sebastian Pelczar (1842-1924) był profesorem (1877-1899) i rektorem 1882/83 Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego. W 1899 r. został biskupem pomocniczym, a od 1901 r. biskupem diecezjalnym w Przemyślu. Posługa chorym była ważną częścią jego działalności.
