Yuri Druzhnikov belongs to the ironic-realistic trend in the prose of the 20th–21st century. An analysis of the stories in the book There is to You Not Here! allows one to draw a conclusion that the basic comic means are: at a composition level – the story construction (by using the joke principle), presenting a situation as an actual event and its addition or specification at the level of style – metaphor or phraseological unit, specification, a concrete definition of citations, popular expressions, and at the language level – a mixture of different languages – Runglish.

The article deals with sound images in the poetics of Olga Grushin’s novel The Dream Life of Sukhanov. The author analyses the role of sound in creating time and space images, types and functions of sound, as well as studies the phenomenon of silence as a universal. Sounds act as mediators between the hero’s past and present, as markers of time and space shifts, and key events of the plot. All these sound functions are connected with the main aim of the writer — to form and shape the spiritual biography of a creative person whose life covers the 1930–1980s.

POETYKA MIKROPOWIŚCI W TWÓRCZOŚCI JURIJA DRUŻNIKOWA Streszczenie W artykule przeprowadzona została analiza mikropowieści w literaturze rosyjskiej XX wieku, warunki powstania gatunku i miejsce w systemie gatunków epickich. Określając gatunkowy paradygmat mikropowieści, autorka zwraca szczególną uwagę na odmienność mikropowieści od noweli. Teoretyczna refleksja genologiczna ilustrowana jest utworami rosyjskiego pisarza emigracyjnego Jurija Drużnikowa. THE GENRE POETICS OF THE MICRONOVELIN LITERARY WORKS OF YURI DRUZHNIKOV Summary The article considers the sources of the micronovel in the Russian literature, the conditions of itsdevelopment in the 20-th century literature and its place in the epic genres system.
