W 2012 r. Stowarzyszenie Solidarité France-Pologne przekazało swoje archiwum do Biblioteki Polskiej w Paryżu. Jest ono świadectwem działalności Stowarzyszenia, które zostało założone w 1980 roku. Głównym jego zadaniem była pomoc w nawiązywaniu kontaktów polsko-francuskich, a następnie pomoc polskiemu społeczeństwu w czasie stanu wojennego. Po 1989 r. czynnie uczestniczyło w animowaniu inicjatyw pozarządowych. Zbiory dzielą się na dwie chronologiczne serie, te z kolei na podserie, które obejmują określone pola działalności Stowarzyszenia. Znajduje się tam dokumentacja różnego typu, zarówno aktowa, jak i audiowizualna oraz materiały ulotne. Materiały porządkowano, układając na początku każdej serii dokumenty związane z zarządzaniem Stowarzyszeniem, następnie korespondencję, później dokumentację podzieloną według poszczególnych pól działalności, na końcu zaś umieszczając broszury i prasę. Archiwalia mogą uzupełnić bieżące badania na temat zachodniej pomocy dla „Solidarności” oraz stać się przyczynkiem nowych – dotyczących budowania w Polsce społeczeństwa obywatelskiego i roli, jaką odegrały, w tym francuskie instytucje.

In 2012 the Association Solidarité France-Pologne passed its archive to the Polish Library in Paris. It is the evidence of the activity of the Association set up in 1980. Its main task was to facilitate Polish-French contacts and to help the Polish society during the martial law. After 1989 the Association was actively involved in promoting non-governmental initiatives. The collection is divided into two chronological series, which are further subdivided into sub-series embracing strictly defined fields of the Association’s activity. The collection includes documents of various types, both files and audiovisual materials. The materials were sorted out in the way that at the beginning of each series there appeared documents connected with the management of the Association, followed by correspondence, documents divided according to various fields of activity, leaflets and press. The archival documents may complement the current research on the aid offered to “Solidarity” by Western Europe and may become a contribution to new research concerning the appearance of civil society in Poland and the role of French institutions in it.

Der Verband Solidarité France-Pologne übergab 2012 seinen Archivbestand an die Polnische Bibliothek in Paris. Er bestätigt den Tätigkeitsbereichdes 1980 gegründeten Verbands. Seine Hauptaufgabe war nämlich die Hilfe bei der polnisch-französischen Kontaktaufnahme und danach die Unterstützung der polnischen Bevölkerung während des Kriegsrechts. Nach 1989 beteiligte er sich aktiv an den Nichtregierungsinitiativen. Die Bestände werden in zwei Reihen chronologisch geordnet, diese zerfallen dann in untere Reihen, die bestimmte Tätigkeitsfelder des Verbands umfassen. Darin findet man verschiedene Dokumente, sowohl Akten als auch audiovisuelle Materialien und Flugschriften. Die Materialien wurden bearbeitet, am Anfang jeder Reihe berücksichtigte man die Dokumente bezüglich der Verbandsverwaltung, ferner den Briefwechsel, die Dokumentation, geordnet nach den einzelnen Tätigkeitsfeldern, am Ende dagegen die Broschüren und die Presse. Die Archivalien können die laufenden Untersuchungen über die Hilfe der westlichen Staaten für die Gewerkschaft „Solidarność“ ergänzen und dazu Anlass geben, neue Untersuchungen zur Herausbildung der bürgerlichen Gesellschaft in Polen und der Rolle der französischen Institutionen in diesem Prozess anzustellen.
