In public discourse we can observe many ways of using the term “diversity”, therefore it is necessary in this respect to organize the concepts and a reliable, hermeneutical analysis of the discourse, which is a theoretical introduction to further, detailed research in various disciplines and an indication of how this ambiguity affects political practice. In the article will be analysed aspects of political diversity. The aim of the article is to outline a research area, including the political nature of diversity, posing and justifying research questions, which will be developed in further research. Due to the specificity of the data used in the study, their transdisciplinary character and the intersection of different points of view, the hermeneutical method by Hans Georg Gadamer will be the most appropriate method for their analysis. The starting point here may be the hypothesis that due to the change in the conditions of functioning of the public sphere, such as globalisation processes, widespread education and increased migration activity, it can be observed that representatives of various groups who have remained in the shadow of the private sphere or on the outskirts of the public sphere are relocating their activity to its centre, thus changing the dynamics of democratic political systems.

W dyskursie publicznym możemy zaobserwować wiele sposobów używania terminu „różnorodność” dlatego niezbędne są w tym zakresie, uporządkowanie pojęć, rzetelna, hermeneutyczna analiza dyskursu, będąca teoretycznym wprowadzeniem do dalszych, szczegółowych badań w ramach różnych dyscyplin i wskazanie jak ta wieloznaczność wpływa na praktykę polityczną. W artykule poddane zostają analizie aspekty różnorodności o politycznym charakterze. Jego celem jest nakreślenie obszaru badawczego, obejmującego polityczny charakter różnorodności, postawienie i uzasadnienie pytań badawczych, które rozwijane będą w dalszych badaniach. Ze względu na specyfikę wykorzystanych w badaniach danych i ich transdycyplinarnego charakteru oraz skrzyżowanie różnych punktów widzenia najbardziej odpowiednią metodą do ich analizy będzie metoda hermeneutyczna Hansa Georga Gadamera. Punktem wyjścia może tu być hipoteza mówiąca, że ze względu na zmianę warunków funkcjonowania sfery publicznej takich jak: procesy globalizacyjne, powszechność edukacji, wzmożoną aktywność migracyjną zaobserwować można, iż reprezentanci różnych grup pozostający dotychczas w cieniu sfery prywatnej lub na obrzeżach sfery publicznej relokują swoją aktywność do jej centrum, zmieniając tym samym dynamikę demokratycznych systemów politycznych.

The aim of the article is the presentation of the Interpretative anthropology, and its connections with political science. The paper describes humanistic inspirations of contemporary social theories, anthropological ways of understanding of culture and the title category with its political context. It is analysed through the hermeneutical category of discovering meanings in terms of Gadamer.

Transnational space provides the framework for discussing the topics of this paper: civil society, civil disobedience and the concept of profanation developed by the Italian philosopher Giorgio Agamben. The first two topics are mutually related, whereas the third one expands the former two and challenges them with the tasks to be performed by both politically aware social movements and authorities. The paper attempts to answer the question of what outcomes this challenge produces.

Jak polskie uczelnie techniczne radzą sobie z tym wymogiem? Czy jest w ich działalności miejsce na uświadamianie studentom wagi kompetencji społecznych? Spróbujmy zatem odpowiedzieć na pytania o miejsce równości i różnorodności w misjach uczelni, badaniach naukowych, programach kształcenia oraz projektach społecznych i edukacyjnych realizowanych na politechnikach, odnosząc się przy tym do światowych dobrych praktyk w tym obszarze.

Społeczeństwo obywatelskie to jedno z kluczowych pojęć w naukach politycznych. Europejskie społeczeństwo obywatelskie to coś więcej niż suma społeczeństw obywatelskich Europy. I choć mamy do czynienia z bogatą historią idei społeczeństwa obywatelskiego ściśle splecioną z ideą europejskiej demokracji to nigdy wcześniej kategoria ta nie odnosiła się jednakże tak jak obecnie do ponadnarodowej wspólnoty europejskiej. Do tej pory jedną z kluczowych płaszczyzn analizy społeczeństwa obywatelskiego była jego relacja z państwem. Obecnie jednak w dobie integracji europejskiej i globalizacji, choć jest ona nadal ważna to jednak nie jedyna, gdyż nowa architektura sceny publicznej wytworzona na poziomie ponadnarodowym ulega tak zdecydowanym przeobrażeniom, że są one odczuwalne nie tylko dla elit politycznych, ale i dla zwykłych obywateli. W artykule podjęta jest kwestia, w jaki sposób przeobrażenia te wpływają na ideę europejskiego społeczeństwa obywatelskiego.

Civil society is one of the key concepts in political science. European civil society is more than the sum of civil societies of Europe. Although we have a rich history of ideas of civil society closely related to the idea of European democracy, this category has never been related to the transnational European community. Until now, one of the key fields of civil society analysis was its relationship with the state. Today, in the era of European integration and globalisation, it is still important. However, because of the new architecture of the public sphere at the transnational level, transformations are experienced not only by political elites, but also by ordinary citizens. The article shows how these transformations affect the idea of European civil society.

Autorki ilustrują tę problematykę lokalnym przypadkiem wiążącym kategorię gender z miejską sferą publiczną, a mianowicie odwołują się działań Fundacji Łódzki Szlaku Kobiet (https://www.facebook.com/ŁódźkiSzlakKobiet − jest to kobieca oddolna inicjatywa dotycząca zarazem płci społeczno-kulturowej, jak i przeszłości i pamięci miasta. Artykuł składa się z trzech głównych części odnoszących się do: 1. funkcjonowania pamięci w miejskiej sferze publicznej jako formy dialogu (antropologia hemerneutyczno-interpretacyjna w oparciu o teorie Jurgena Habermasa i Seyli Benhabiba), 2. procesu gendering memory (odzwier­ciedlającego pluralizację pamięci), 3. działań Fundacji Łódzki Szlak Kobiet (gdzie miasto jawi się jako zróżnicowany krajobraz pamięci). Artykuł dotyczy napięcia obserwowanego między polityką pamięci – praktyką polityczną – alternatywnymi pamięciami wynikającymi z idei wielości i polifonii, w tym obecności głosu kobiet. Autorki artykułu podnoszą kwestię genderyzacji pamięci w kontekście pytań, w jaki sposób rozwija się pluralizm pamięci zbiorowej i toczy się dywersyfikacja sfery publicznej jako rezultat oddziaływania dyskursów pamięci alternatywnej, w tym pamięci skoncentrowanej na płci.

The article is devoted to the process of gendering memory as a counterpoint to the politicization of memory observed in the Polish context. The core problem of the paper is a description of a local case of this type of gender ‘memory practising’ in the area of the public urban sphere, specifically one created by the Łódź Women’s Heritage Trail Foundation (https://www.facebook.com/ŁódźkiSzlakKobiet) – a gender-profiled female grass-roots initiative that is concerned with the city’s past. The article consists of three main parts referring to, respectively, the functioning of memory in the urban public sphere as a form of dialogue (hemerneutic-interpretative anthropology with Jurgen Habermas’ and Seyla Benhabib’s theories is the theoretical foundation here), the process of gendering memory (appearing alongside the narrative phrase and feminist proposals for the interpretation of memory as a form of its pluralization), and the presentation of the activities within the Łódź Women’s HeritageTrail Foundation’s particular initiative – namely ‘Women Routes in Łódź’ – as a kind of case study for the city as a landscape of memory. The paper deals with the tension observed between the politics of memory and the political practice, and the alternative memories that arise from the idea of multiplicity and polyphony, including the voice of women. The authors raise the issue of the genderization of memory in the context of an inquiry into how the pluralism of collective memory and the diversification of the public sphere develops as a result of the discourses and operation of the alternative memory, including gender-focused memory.
