The article is arranged in form of essay about G. M. Dobrov's life. The 'milestones' of his scientific biography are mentioned: supervisor of a large research team; founder of a new research field; supervisor of large-scale national and international projects; UNESCO expert on science policy and organization; supervisor of post-graduates; editor of a national scientific journal and member of editorial boards in several journals, including international ones; author of hundreds of scientific works translated into dozens of languages. Main human and professional qualities of Dobrov are shown. Dobrov was a migrant and an expansionist in science, as he started as a science & technology historian and later turned to the future (science & technology forecasting); an integrator, as he could compile a cohered picture of science of science from 'fractions' such as logic of cognition, science & technology history, sociology, economics, cybernetics etc.; an innovator, as he launched a new scientific field in the USSR; a risky and responsible person, as he took on extremely difficult and novel tasks at national and international level; the creator and protagonist of an organization culture, intellectual and emotional spirit that never existed in national research team before him. Also, Dobrov was good in Ukrainian, and could write a dozen of works in Ukrainian, had a lot of hobbies, invented a lot of aphorisms, was full of vital power and joy of living, was an easy-going persons, enjoyed company and socialization.
