This article provides a short presentation of the activities of the National Education Committee on the plane of Polish educational spheres in the years 1773-1794. Providing an overview of the main directions for reform of the educational institution, the author tries to answer the question whether the decision on the appointment of the Committee was right. The aim of the study was to show the national idea underpinning the National Education Committee. The result of the Committee’s activities was to educate active citizens, who have developed national consciousness and respect for the Polish language. Under the influence of the Committee took place fundamental changes in the structure and profile of the program Polish school. Committee should be regarded as a progressive institution which gave the rank of the Polish language in education, and her ideas are relevant today.

The purpose of this article is to analyze the selected sermons and conferences by Father Peter Pawlukiewicz. We intend to explore how Pawlukiewicz speaks to his listeners. Among our statements there are those related to the appointment of a priest, sex, courtship and marriage, self-esteem, love, and her cartoons, humility and pride. We have chosen primarily those sermons and conferences which were meant for young people aged 19–26 years. The analysis of the collected material has made it possible to draw an appropriate inference.

Celem artykułu jest analiza wybranych kazań i konferencji księdza Piotra Pawlukiewicza. Zamierzamy zbadać, w jaki sposób Pawlukiewicz przemawia do swoich słuchaczy. Wśród wybranych przez nas wypowiedzi znajdują się wystąpienia księdza dotyczące powołania, seksu, narzeczeństwa i małżeństwa, poczucia własnej wartości, miłości i jej karykatur, pokory i pychy. Skoncentrowałyśmy się przede wszystkim na kazaniach i konferencjach, które kierowane były do ludzi młodych w wieku 19–26 lat. Analiza zebranego materiału umożliwiła przeprowadzenie stosownego wnioskowania.
