The sceptics argue that a border persists between the textual and the visual in the new hypertext art. This critical position results not only from the empirical experience of a perceptive user of hypertext, but also from the need to promptly and at least partially address the problem of interpretation of textual and visual segments of literary projects received in an electronic environment without the authority of the traditional dichotomy between the textual and the visual. It seems problematic to ask whether the reader/user perceives textual segments in the new digital medium according to the conventions received from the culture of printed text and the visual segments according to the tradition of visual art, or differently. We could ask whether there exists an assumption according to which a reflective user could achieve 'high focus' on perceived textual and visual segments. Our working explanation of 'high focus' is based on the idea that 'high focus' results from the cooperation of information received at the same time by verbal and visual information channels. The authoress demonstrates the phenomenon of 'high focus' in fine art in the context of 'ecphrasis' and 'subversive ecphrasis' in the work with 'semantic enclave' (Snezna sova by Purkyne) by building on the project Shredder by M. Napier. The analysis confirms the argument by Didi-Huberman that visuality is a phenomenon that complicates the epistemological status of an image.

The subject of the article is the reaction on the voices, repeatedly mentioning the declining sub-standardisation of the quality of translations. The authoress, beware of the fact, that this theme has not been regarded as crucial in the area of the translatological reflection so far, asks through the prism of interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity about the factors causing this state. The authoress considers on the one hand the contemporary accelerated and multiplied global communication and on the other hand the complicated methodology of the humanities, and thus the methodology of the translatological studies. The article presents the idea, that the thinking about translation could also integrate the culture of linguistics (J. Dolnik) and literary scholarly reflection (D. Attridge). The same inspirational value for the reflection of translation, or rather artistic translation, is given to the elaboration of the critical, in the meaning evaluative, scientific instruments.

In the study the authoress concentrates on the perspectives of literary hypertext research in the context of electronic literariness. The modest material basis of Central European geospace - weak e-literariness - is the cornerstone of the idea that the perspective of its research needs to be looked for in the transdiciplinary approach. This transdiciplinary approach is found in the field of digital media, which are regarded as the culture's evolutionary phenomenon - in the cultural practices. One of them is the perception of the literary hypertext as an artistic event. The ideas are consequently supported by the examples from the Polish literature. The authoress points out to the literary texts, which expose the problematics of the presence of the author as the text's editor - medial consciousness - as well as to the hypertext projects

The recent use of gene editing technology (CRISPR-Cas9) in clinical practice revived not only bioethical discussions surrounding the potential abuse of the technology, but also the democratization processes when making decisions about how biotechnologies are to be used. Biological material and laboratory techniques have served as means of artistic expression for several decades. Using the examples of bioart projects, this article will present to what extent and in what conditions could bioethics penetrate the aesthetic space of post-humanism – including DIY strategies as a mode of transfer of scientific and technological knowledge to the public, while engaging the people’s participation in the decisions made concerning the future of the human genome.
