Celem artykułu jest potraktowanie tematyki szczepień jako debaty społecznej. Oddajemy w nim głos przedstawicielom trzech środowisk: medycznego, antyszczepionkowców oraz rodziców, którzy poszukują mocnych argumentów „za” lub „przeciw”, aby ostatecznie podjąć (według nich) właściwą decyzję. Lęk rodziców przed skutkami szczepień wywołał wśród opinii społecznej wiele kontrowersji. Jedno jest pewne: ludzie mają prawo się bać. Natomiast obowiązkiem lekarzy i pielęgniarek jest zadbanie o to, aby wszelkie obawy, strach i niepewność zostały rozwiane.

The aim of the article is to treat the subject of vaccination as a social debate. We give our voices to representatives of three environments: medical, anti-vaccination and parents who seek strong arguments “for” or “against” to finally make (according to them) the right decision. Parents’ fear of the effects of vaccination caused a lot of controversy among the public opinion. One thing is certain: people have the right to be afraid. However, the duty of doctors and nurses is to ensure that all fears, anxieties and uncertainty are dispelled.
