Celem artykułu jest pokazanie różnych podglądów na temat współczesnych użytkowników nowych technologii nazywanych digital nativ. Niektórzy autorzy określają dzisiejszych uczących się cyfrowymi ekspertami z racji permanentnego obcowania w sieci. Natomiast inni zauważają, iż przebywanie w wirtualnym świecie nie pretenduje do miana zaawansowanego użytkownika no-wych technologii. Temu przekonaniu towarzyszą wieloletnie spostrzeżenia autorki oraz wypowiedzi samych studentów, którzy często czują się osamotnieni w zetknięciu z akademicką rzeczywisto-ścią. Artykuł jest próbą pokazania, iż mimo ciągłych zmian, rozwoju technologii, zalewu informa-cji wciąż są pożądane relacje mistrz–uczeń.

The purpose of the article is to demonstrate various views on the contemporary users of new technologies, called Digital Natives. Today’s learners are called digital experts by some authors, because of their continuous existence on the Internet. In turn, others notice that existence in the virtual world does not elevate to the rank of an advanced user of new technologies. This belief is accompanied by long-standing observations made by the authors, as well as statements provided by the students them selves, who often feel lonely in their contact with the academic reality. The article is an attempt to show that despite constant changes, development of technology, inflow of information, the master-pupil relationship is still desired.

W artykule dokonano próby zaakcentowania ważności mediów społecznościowych jako instrumentu w komunikacji interpersonalnej przyjaznego uczestnikom kształcenia w szkole wyższej realizującej e-learningowy model. W tym celu odwołano się do badań przeprowadzonych wśród studentów uczelni ekonomicznych.

The article is an attempt to stress importance of social media as an instrument in interpersonal communication, friendly for participants of the education process at a university implementing an e-learning education model. For this purpose, a reference was made to research carried out among students of economic universities.
