A dividend policy conducted by bank institutions in Ukraine in 2006 was considered. A dependence between the amount of major shareholders (companies and physical persons) who concentrated an overwhelming part of the bank's assets and the dividends charging/payments, the amount of Ukrainian bank institutions charging and paying dividends were analysed.
