The objective of ecological innovations is limiting the impact on the environment or achieving greater efficiency and responsibility with respect to the use of natural resources. In this article the authors presented results of the study of chosen aspects of ecological innovations i.e. sources of innovations, effects, availability of resources, restrictiveness of legal regulations, the level of pro-ecological orientation. The study was conducted in Poland and in Nordic countries.
