Podstawowym celem pracy jest usystematyzowanie wiedzy w zakresie uwarunkowań rozwoju kreatywności i innowacyjności oraz przedstawienie badanego zagadnienia w odniesieniu do regionu północno-wschodniej Polski. Referat ma charakter analizy teoriopoznawczej, wzbogaconej o prezentację wyników z wybranych publikacji i raportów badawczych. W opracowaniu przedstawiono pojęcie i formy kreatywności oraz zwrócono uwagę na różnicę w postrzeganiu terminów kreatywność i innowacyjność. Zasadniczą część pracy stanowi szczegółowa prezentacja uwarunkowań kreatywności i innowacyjności, które stanowią podstawę do oceny analizowanego zagadnienia z perspektywy regionu północno-wschodniej Polski.

The primary aim of the paper is to systematise knowledge in the area of conditions determining development of creativity and innovation and present the examined issue with reference to the north-eastern region of Poland. The paper has the character of epistemological analysis enriched with a presentation of results from selected publications and research reports. The study presents the concept and forms of creativity, moreover, the author draws attention to the difference in perception of the terms of creativity and innovation. The essential part of the paper constitutes the detailed presentation of the determinants of creativity and innovation, which form the basis for the assessment of the analyzed issue from the perspective of the north-eastern region of Poland.
