W artykule prezentuję opracowany oraz zrealizowany przeze mnie program warsztatów pisania autobiografii dla słuchaczy Uniwersytetów Trzeciego Wieku. Na wstępie sygnalizuję aktualny stan potrzeb edukacyjnych różnych grup odbiorców w zakresie oferty kursów kreatywnego pisania w Polsce w porównaniu z krajami anglojęzycznymi. Omawiam założenia programu warsztatów (15 spotkań 1,5 godzinnych, praca w małej grupie, chronologiczny układ zagadnień, cykl rocz- ny, przebieg spotkania składającego się z trzech części: omówienie pracy domo- wej, wykład i dyskusja, zadanie pisemnej pracy na kolejne spotkanie). Wymieniam zastosowane metody (dyskusja, burza mózgów, wykład, praca z tekstem, praca w podgrupach, metoda analogii i przekładu intersemiotycznego). Charakteryzuję cztery grupy wykorzystanych przeze mnie materiałów pomocniczych (teksty lite- rackie, reprodukcje dzieł malarskich, karty pracy, materiały piśmienne). Określam cele założone w zakresie wiedzy, umiejętności oraz postaw społecznych. Wypo- wiedź kończę uwagami praktycznymi dotyczącymi przebiegu warsztatów oraz po- stulatem ubogacenia oferty edukacyjnej w zakresie kursów i warsztatów kreatyw- nego pisania dla osób dorosłych.

In this article I present a workshops program for writing autobiography, designed and carried out by me for the students of Universities of the Third Age. At the outset I indicate the present status of the educational needs of different audiences with regard to the offer of creative writing courses in Poland, in comparison with the English-speaking countries. I discuss the assumptions of the workshop program (15 meetings of 1.5 hour, working in a small group, the chronological arrangement of issues, year cycle; the meeting consists of three parts: checking homework, lecture and discussion, asking students for writing their homework for the next meeting). I enumerate the methods I used (discussion, brainstorming, lecture, working with text, working in subgroups, method of analogy and intersemiotic translation). I describe four groups of auxiliary materials used by me (ego-thematic literary texts, paintings’ reproductions, worksheets, other written historical materials). I define the goals in terms of knowledge, skills and social attitudes. Finally I note some practical comments on the workshop and I postulate for enriching the educational offer with regard to courses and workshops in creative writing for adults.

The article is devoted to the presentation of the Świętokrzyski Third Age University, which during its thirty-one years of activity has became a part of the history of Kielce and the region as a professional institution, taking care of high standards of senior education. The history of the university and its present condition is briefly shownt. The program offer, which includes: plenary lectures, seminars, workshops, foreign language courses, work in sections, interest groups, volunteer team and activities in the Club Nad Silnica was presented. The current problems and development prospects of the Świętokrzyski Third Age University (maintenance of the educational offer, obtaining additional sources of financing statutory activities, involvement in works for elderly people of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship) were discussed.

W artykule prezentuję 10-letnią działalność Stowarzyszenia Rekonstrukcji Historycznej Czwartego Pułku Piechoty Legionów w Kielcach. Omawiam genezę grupy, jej skład oraz cele statutowe w zakresie edukacji historycznej i obywatelskiej. Następnie prezentuję wybrane przykłady realizacji tych celów (inscenizacje bitew oręża polskiego z II wojny światowej i powstania styczniowego, odtwarzanie wydarzeń z czasów stanu wojennego, pełnienie wart honorowych, prowadzenie lekcji i pokazów historycznych, organizowanie dioram, publikacje naukowe członków grupy, udział w realizacji filmów, troska o integrację międzypokoleniową, współpraca z instytucjami kultury, innymi grupami odtwórstwa historycznego, władzami oraz dyrekcjami szkół). Piszę o planach i bieżących problemach grupy (kwestie finansowe, gromadzenie, zakup i konserwacja sprzętu, zdobywanie specjalistycznej wiedzy historycznej). Ze względu na niekwestionowane walory poznawczo-edukacyjne i społeczno-obywatelskie związane z krzewieniem patriotyzmu oraz pamięci historycznej wydarzeń, sposobów walk, procesów technologicznych, ludzi, kultury materialnej postuluję wsparcie grup rekonstrukcji historycznej przez samorządy lokalne i władze państwowe.

I present the phenomenon of the 10-year activity of the Historical Reconstruct Association of the Fourth Legion Infantry Regiment in Kielce. I discuss the genesis of the group, its composition and its statutory goals in the field of historical and civic education. Then I present selected examples how these goals are accomplished – performing battles of Polish armies from the Second World War and the January Uprising, recreating events from Martial Law in Poland, standing on honour guards, giving lessons and historical presentations, making dioramas, printing scientific publications of the group members, participation in making films, taking care for integration between the generations, cooperation with cultural institutions and with other groups of historical reconstruction, with the authorities and school directors. I’m writing about the plans and current issues of the group (financial issues; collection, purchase and maintenance of the equipment; acquiring specialized historical knowledge). Due to the unquestionable cognitive-educational and socio-civic values, associated with patriotism and historical memory of events, ways of fighting, technological processes, people and material culture, I suggest the support of historical reconstruction groups by local governments and state authorities.
