The paper includes author’s considerations concerning the necessity of differentiating the development policy pursue by self-government authorities of voivodeships with regard to the voivodeship’s situation in the context of revitalization. It is based on the analysis of texts of voivodeship development strategies. As a result of this analysis it was possible to evaluate the correspondence between these parts of texts of voivodeship development strategies that are concerning directly to revitalization process and problems identified on the voivodeships area
