Using the experiences of German companies as a basis, this article presents possibilities for applying forms of flexiwork to restore work-life balance. The strong development of flexiwork observable in Germany for many years has contributed to businesses working out a multitude of solutions that effectively support the realization of workers' plans involving their private lives. The article discusses the strong and weak points of the most popular forms of flexible work, as well as tools enabling an assessment of the costs and benefits involved in the implementation of instruments aiding the work-life balance, including forms of flexiwork.

Artykuł przedstawia znaczenie wynagradzania za efekty w budowaniu efektywności organizacyjnej. Omówiono w nim miejsce wynagradzania za efekty w wysoko efektywnych systemach zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi oraz podstawowe problemy budowy systemów wynagradzania za efekty. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na ustalanie celów i miar efektów, służących do kształtowania wynagrodzeń, dopasowywanie formy wynagradzania za efekty do specyficznych uwarunkowań firmy oraz ocenę skuteczności przyjętych rozwiązań. Omawiane zagadnienia ilustrowane są wynikami badań prowadzonych w różnych ośrodkach naukowych.

The article presents the importance of performance pay in achieving organizational effectiveness. It discusses the role that performance pay plays in very effective HRM systems and the basic problems about building performance pay systems. In particular, the setting of performance goals and measures that determine employees’ compensation, the adjustment of performance pay to organization’s specific requirements and the evaluation of the accepted solutions are presented. The various aspects of performance pay are illustrated with the results of studies conducted by various scientific centres.
