The article broaches the relationship of the Byzantine liturgical hymn called the Akathist with Litany of Loreto. Both prayers are addressed to the Virgin Mary, the two also combine three topics: dogmatic, liistoriosopliic, and eschatological. Theological thought links them closely together in a poetic form of communication. Therefore, they are fundamental to the development of Marian spirituality.

Presented text is a review of selected Polish textbooks from interwar period and 1945-1950 in terms of presented worldviews. The analysis of presented books shows that both the selection of teaching material, as well as the assumed model student in the pre-war course books overtops the one in the workbooks from socialist realism era. They can also serve as a model for modem textbooks writers, because of their consideration for a man, family, society and culture, in the broad sense.

The paper concerned metaphysical issues in one of the best ballads of Adam Mickiewicz in the context of romantic pantheism and hermetic ideas of his times. The vision of God found in the ballad is different to the one known from Christian dogmas, what corresponds to Mickiewicz’s change in relations regarding the issue of the Absolute’s existence.
