The article attempts to determine the methodological assumptions for further research on the effectiveness of changes in the organization and logistics of supplies in sugar factories. For this purpose, data were collected on historical ways of organizing transport of sugar beets to various sugar factories. Preliminary analysis of the data shows that the direction of development of the organization and logistics of beet deliveries is towards a process fully organized and supervised by individual sugar producers. This approach allows for better use of existing resources and the development of new directions of the organization processes. All actions taken by the sugar sector are aimed at introducing optimization, acceleration of movement and use of the latest communication techniques in order to reduce effort and time in the organization of the process.

Celem artykułu jest próba określenia założeń metodycznych do dalszych badań nad efektywnością zmian w organizacji i logistyce dostaw surowca w cukrowniach. W tym celu zgromadzono dane historyczne dotyczące sposobów organizacji transportu buraków cukrowych w różnych zakładach. Wstępne analizy zgromadzonego materiału wskazują, że kierunkiem rozwoju organizacji i logistyki dostaw buraków staje się proces w całości zorganizowany i nadzorowany przez poszczególnych producentów cukru. Takie podejście umożliwia lepsze wykorzystanie istniejących zasobów i rozwój nowych kierunków organizacji procesów. Wszystkie działania podejmowane przez sektor cukrowniczy mają na celu wprowadzenie optymalizacji oraz przyspieszenie przepływu i wykorzystania najnowszych technik komunikacyjnych, tak by ograniczyć nakłady pracy i czasu na organizację procesu.

This article presents selected issues related to the problem of organizational culture. The work is based on the results of empirical research involving qualitative investigations using the case study method. It examines the values and norms defi ning the organizational culture of selected agricultural enterprises. It was found that the values and norms are an important factor in the competitiveness of a company. Appropriate shaping of the organizational culture promotes proinnovative behavior of employees and builds an attractive image of the organization. Considerations related to the culture of the organization revealed the importance of the multidimensionality of this concept. In addition, organizational culture can have a big impact on functioning and effectiveness of a company.

W artykule przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia związane z kulturą organizacyjną. Praca powstała na podstawie wyników studiów empirycznych, polegających na badaniach jakościowych z wykorzystaniem metody studium przypadku. Analiza wartości i norm, które leżą u podstaw kultury organizacyjnej wybranego przedsiębiorstwa rolnego, pozwala stwierdzić, że stanowią one istotny czynnik wpływający na konkurencyjność fi rmy. Odpowiednie kształtowanie kultury organizacyjnej sprzyja proinnowacyjnym zachowaniom pracowników i budowaniu atrakcyjnego wizerunku fi rmy. Rozważania związane z kulturą organizacji ukazały wielowymiarowość znaczenia tego pojęcia oraz jak duży wpływ może ona wywierać na funkcjonowanie i efektywność przedsiębiorstwa
