Presentation and Anthropomorphization in the Scientific Discourse. The Case of Sonocytology The article focuses on the use sonification in hard sciences. Referring to works by Jonathan Sterne and Mitchell Akiyama, I will analyse strategies of auditory display in sonocytology in the context of translation in scientific discourse. The article aims to broaden Bruno Latour’s perspective on the visualisation and framing in the context of sound representation, which will enable me to analyse the process of creating a representation of an organism. Following the Sophia Roosth’s work on sonocytology I will focus on the categories of autonomy and agency, and on the process of animation of research objects.

This article refers to the theory and the term of ‘relational music’ proposed by Harry Lehmann in Digital revolution in music. In the article I will analyse Lehmann’s perspective in the context of the shift ing forms of listening in the 20th century, focusing on the way media shape our perception. I would like to propose to treat multimedia musical performances as a relational form, in which the receiver’s experience is programmed by the artist.

The article focuses on the electromagnetism in the avant-garde practices in visual and sound art. It refers to perspective presented by Douglas Kahn in Sound Earth Signal: Energies and Earth Magnitude in the Arts (2013) proposing to analyse light in terms known from music. Using the notion of lived electromagnetism in the article I analyse electronic music perfor-mance Double Vision. The project emerged from Robin Fox’s and Uwe Schmidt’s co-operation aims to create experience of pop concert, that becomes a subject of audio-visual deconstruc-tion.
