Artykuł prezentuje opartą na GIS technikę analizy gęstości przemieszczeń i oddzia- ływań przestrzennych rozwijającą koncepcję planów selekcyjno-wiązkowych, metodę wizualizacji przestrzennego rozkładu potrzeb transportowych. Koncepcja rozwoju planów selekcyjno-wiązkowych opiera się na łączeniu operacji na wektorach, tabelach i rastrach w środowisku ESRI ArcGIS. Nowa wersja operacyjna metody jest łatwiejsza i bardziej efektywna, pozwala na znaczne wzbogacenie zakresu przetwarzanych i obrazowanych zjawisk oraz uwzględnienie zjawisk powiązanych.

This paper aims to develop new visualization methods of spatial distribution analyses of transportation needs using GIS tools. It improves trip-directional plans method that is based on movement intensity analysis and mutual spatial impact of transportation agencies. This method uses vectors, raster data and attributes in order to improve spatial distribution analyses of transportation needs and make thematic maps more legible. Use of different data types also enhance processing and visualization capabilities as it allow to take into account all spatial relationships between data.

In connection with literature reports that the long-term return on the IPO is lower than the stock indexes, this paper analyzes both the size of the capital obtained from stock and the directions of its investment. The findings of the analysis are pessimistic. Firstly, during the debut the companies raise a lot of capital thus multiplying the equity, which raises the question whether their investment programs are able to absorb such large amounts of capital. Secondly, in the second year after the debut the most popular investment trends are short-term investments and other current assets, which indicates bad investment programs of debuting companies.

Artykuł zawiera przegląd zawartości najnowszych podręczników do nauczania języka biznesu i do studiowania ekonomii. Uzasadnia się w nim potrzebę włączania tekstów prasowych do programu kursu językowego. Sformułowano kryteria doboru publikacji prasowych: aktualność tematu, powiązanie z dyscypliną przyszłych studiów, odniesienie do wiedzy studentów, do poziomu kompetencji językowych determinowanych przez: słownictwo (terminy), stopień skomplikowania składni, realioznawstwo, przejrzystość wywodu, sposób prowadzenia dyskursu. Określono pozytywne skutki wprowadzania tekstów publicystycznych na lektorat: wzbogacenie wiedzy, rozwijanie poszczególnych sprawności językowych, wzmocnienie relacji nauczyciel‒student, wzrost motywacji, kształtowanie niezależności intelektualnej studentów, wprowadzenie tekstów o zróżnicowanej stylistyce. Opisano realizacje scenariuszy lektoratów z wykorzystaniem tekstów publicystycznych, podkreślono możliwości zastosowania strategii uczenia się i technik nauczania.

The article includes the review of the newest handbooks used in teaching economy and Polish in business. It justifies the need of including journalistic texts in the language course program. It also proposes a set the criteria of texts selection: currentness of the topics, connection with the area of future studies, making use of students' knowledge and language skills determined by vocabulary, syntax complexity, reality knowledge, clarity of reasoning, the manner of dispute. The article lists the positive effects of including journalistic texts. They include the broadening of students' knowledge, the development of particular language skills, the improvement in teacher-student relationship, the enhancement of motivation, and the development of students` intellectual independence. The author describes different lesson plans with the use of journalistic texts, at the same time stressing the possibility of introducing various learning strategies and techniques.
