One of the frequently implemented solutions which support the development of employees in Poland is executive coaching. The popularity of the method application in foreign organizations attracts increasing attention of Polish managers. Still, unprofessional applications reduce significantly the effectiveness of executive coaching. The article aims to present more general understanding of executive coaching in Polish business as well as to reconstruct and describe four specific Polish trends in the executive coaching practice. The article is based on author's professional experience and his current research focused on European corporate coaching.

Jednym z często wprowadzanych w Polsce rozwiązań wspomagających rozwój pracowników jest coaching. Popularność wykorzystania tej metody w organizacjach zagranicznych wzmaga zainteresowanie polskich menedżerów, jednak nieprofesjonalne zastosowania osłabiają znacząco efektywność coachingu. W artykule omówione zostanie ogólne pojmowanie coachingu w przedsiębiorstwach w Polsce oraz przedstawione będą cztery tendencje w wykorzystywaniu tej metody. Tekst ten oparty został na doświadczeniach praktycznych autora oraz jego trwających badaniach na temat coachingu korporacyjnego w Europie.
