Author recollects his school time spent in the Juliusz Słowacki College in Przemyśl between the years 1929/1930 and 1934/1935. Among the others, he writes a lot about his teachers and colleagues and passions typical for growing up boy. Above all he focuses his attention to sport initiatives which were organised in most cases by Julian Kolankowski – professor of the Polish language and literature. Due to Kolankowski the author the author had a chance to become a very good skier and as a member of the Przemyśl Ski Society during holidays kept an eye on ski chalets in Eastern Carpathian Mountains. What is more, Kotkowski also took part in ski competitions in Zakopane.

The text analyses the issues of defining the notions of aggression and violence. Different ways of understanding these phenomena, and sample definition formulae are quoted. These phenomena are analysed in an interdisciplinary way, in the following perspectives: psychological; sociological; pedagogical; biological and physiological; legal; criminological; communicative, as well as cultural; theological, religious and biblical; semantic and pragmatic; historical and political; ethical and moral; philosophical and ideological. The possibility of the investigation of the phenomena of violence and aggression have been taken in other perspectives. The whole is a piece of research and an attempt to target the possibility of thinking about the problems of aggression and violence in their various dimensions.

W artykule podjęto są kwestie definiowania pojęcia agresji i przemocy. Autor przytacza różne sposoby rozumienia tych zjawisk oraz przykładowe formuły definicyjne. Owe zjawiska analizowane są w sposób interdyscyplinarny, w pespektywach: psychologicznej, socjologicznej, pedagogicznej, biologiczno-fizjologicznej, prawnej, kryminologicznej, komunikacyjno-kulturowej, teologiczno-religijno-biblijnej, semantyczno-pragmatycznej, historyczno-politologicznej, etyczno-moralnej i filozoficzno-ideologicznej. Nie wyklucza się jednak możliwości badania fenomenu agresji i przemocy także w innych ujęciach. Całość ma charakter poszukiwań i próby ukierunkowania możliwości myślenia o problemie agresji i przemocy w różnych jego wymiarach.
