The article includes a discussion of Open Access journals in view of publisher-author-reader relationships. Rules for publishing articles in Open Access (OA) ournals are analyzed. Six models of publishing in OA journals are distinguished: Full OA, Delayed OA, Short-term OA, Selected Content OA, Partial OA and Duplicate OA. Patterns for relationships between publishers, authors and readers are presented. Attention is drawn to the traditional approach of Polish publishers to copyright issues and most common in the case of Polish e-journals model of duplicate OA.
