The article is an analysis of two works of Norwid and presents him as a reading theorist, as well as a reader. “The reading” is one of the most important problems in the poet’s works – but it has not been studied enough so far. Moreover, many simplifications connected with this problem have appeared. Two types of reading described in the article are an important part of Norwid’s conception of reading.
