The European Union law contains a number of specialized acts concentrated on the topic of environment conservation. Yet, to date no comprehensive regulation concerning soil or land conservation has been written into the Community legislation. This paper presents the current legal situation, legislative work undertaken until now and main legislative issues connected with the discussed topic. This publication contains expanded analysis of the European Parliament and Council Directive on establishing framework for soil conservation and amending 2004/35/CE directive draft. The paper presents measures of the identification nature, repair mechanisms, as well as solutions aimed at increasing social awareness connected with the issue of soil conservation across the European Union. The publication contains the analysis and evaluation of new directive’s draft in the light of challenges and problems connected with current economic realities. This paper contains the description of main difficulties threatening the successful completion of legislative process.

The article contains the analysis of the definition of a consumer in the light of the provisions of the Polish Civil Code. The paper presents the historical development of the legal category in question as well as discusses its components. Included is also an analysis of selected jurisprudential lines that relate to the interpretation of the presented legal definition.

Wykorzystywanie nowoczesnych technologii teleinformatycznych w procesie diagnozowania i leczenia pacjentów może być przyszłością medycyny. Tzw. telemedycyna jest również istotnym zagadnieniem legislacyjnym. W artykule analizie zostały poddane regulacje stanowiące postawę funkcjonowania tej dziedziny w polskim porządku prawnym. Szczególną uwagę poświęcono niedawnym pracom legislacyjnym tworzącym ramy nowego podejścia ustawodawcy do telemedycyny. Publikacja zawiera również ocenę skuteczności funkcjonowania ww. rozwiązań prawnych.

Modern technology found in the diagnostic and treatment process of patients can be the future of medicine. This so-called “telemedicine” is also an important legislative issue. The article analyzes legal rules which are the cornerstone of this field in the Polish legal system. Special attention is placed on recent works devoted to the creation by the legislator of a new approach to the legal framework for telemedicine. The paper also contains an assessment of the effectiveness of the func-tioning of these legal solutions.
