This article is an attempt to locate the estate, which the Great Lithuanian Hetman Hrehory Chodkiewicz granted first printer Ivan Fyodorov. Around 1565–1568 Ivan Fyodorov and his assistant Pyotr Mstislavets left Moscow and at the invitation of the Hetman Chodkiewicz moved to his town Zabludow. Two books have been published in Zabludow: Yevangeliye Uchitel’noye (Didactic Gospel, 1569) and Psaltir’ (Psalter, 1570). Any documents about life and work of the printers in Zabludow not preserved. However, in 1928 an interesting document was printed – the act of estates section remaining after death of the Hetman Chodkiewicz, which mentions the folwark Drukarovski (literally, owned by printer) near the village Mlynky near Zabludow. This suggests that the Hetman Chodkiewicz gave this folwark and village to Ivan Fyodorov as the material basis for his publishing activities in Zabludow.
