Analysis of the roles of HR managers in contemporary, innovative organizations indicates their new emerging functions as process innovators and new technology propagators. New information and communication technologies (NICT) affect not only the nature of tasks and their performance by organization employees, but also of HR managers. The introduction of NICT to the organization is a long–term and complex task. To date it has almost completely been the responsibility of ICT specialists. However, the introduction of NICT affects almost all employees. If for no other reason, it must also involve HR specialists. The goal of this article is to outline the new role of HR specialists in the introduction of NICT into the organization, where gamification may be applied. After presenting the impact of NICT on the organization and on HR specialist tasks, gamification is presented as a potential tool for HR specialists, useful in implementing NICT in the organization.
In 1929, the British Empire stretched over almost one-quarter of the earth’s surface which included, i.a.: Canada, Australia, New Zealand, The Union of South Africa, Irish Free State, Newfoundland, India, Sudan, and many islands in the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Primarily shape of the British Empire was influenced by development of British colonialism and economic expansion in America and Asia (17th century), subsequently it’s evolution was associated with the period of the Napoleonic wars, the conquest of economically important areas of India and further expansion in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and America (19th century). The final stage of the British Empire formation was affected by resolutions adopted during the Paris Peace Conference as well as signing of the Treaty of Versailles in 1919, under which Great Britain received the German colonies in: East Africa, South-West Africa, part of Togo, New Guinea and countries in the Middle East. The dominion’s emancipation from the metropolis is apparent since 1919, however, not until 1931 when the Statute of Westminster was adopted, we can speak about the beginning of the end one of the largest Empire in the world. In order to show certain processes I had to go beyond contained in title years – 1929-1935. Although many of the issues were raised by Polish diplomats, I had to confine myself to those most interesting which had the utmost importance on the fate of the British Empire: the relations between the metropolis and its dominions, British-Egyptian relations and the attitude of Great Britain towards India, Ireland and countries in the Middle East.
The article “Polish-English Commercial Affairs in the Years 1918–1939”aims at explaining the readers economic problems between the two countries a topic so rarely dealt within Polish historiography. The main sources for this article were professional economic magazines published in Warsaw in the 1920s and 1930s. England, in the statistics of the Second Republic of Poland, year by year has been playing a more important role as a importer of Polish goods, thus becoming for a couple of years – since 1931– the most important country, to which Polish goods were exported. In the article, the reader will also find the texts of two Polish-English commercial treaties, signed on 26th November 1923 and 27th February 1935. Their influence on goods exchange between Warsaw and England has been analysed. A lot of space has been devoted to coal rivalry between the two countries. It started off with the English miners’ strike at the end of the year 1926 and lasted until an agreement was signed on 6th December 1934.
THE AIM OF the article is to present British foreign policy in Baldwin’s term of office (7 June 1935–25 May 1937) in the light of Polish diplomatic sources. The article describes EnglishItalian relations with regard to Abyssinian problem as well as English-German correlation in which we can observe London concessions for the benefit of Berlin and variable EnglishSoviet relations. The article provides an account of British foreign policy to Poland and her attitude towards Poland’s important matters. Moreover there are information about English relationship with: Japan, Egypt and her dominions, especially with Irish Free State. British foreign policy in Baldwin’s term of office was typified by larger and larger concessions to Italy and Germany. These two countries, encouraged by English yielding attitude, alongside with Japan, started to expand their claims what resulted in an outbreak of World War II.

The number of crowdsourcing (CS) projects growing very rapidly, covering its range further areas of activity on the Web. It is a new way of organizing work and problem solving. Although CS is a social phenomenon, one of the less frequently undertaken topic are relationships between CS and social sciences - in particular, between CS and Public Relations (PR). The article is an attempt to fill this gap and it presents links between PR and CS and points out the challenges that PR managers must face during the implementation of CS projects

Organizational networks are becoming more extensive, crossing borders of countries and cultures. Creating logistics chains under these conditions becomes compli-cated and difficult, but it is expected that logistics does not create barriers to develop-ment network, but even is a network facilitator. In the construction of logistics processes ICT is the main enabler whose main task is to facilitate communication between poten-tial participants in the network and logistics chains. The article discusses the importance of ICT in network integration, capabilities and benefits of ontologies to logistics net-works, and investigates the role of logistics service providers in this field.
Gamifikacja zdobywa coraz większą popularność, a wraz z nią rośnie liczba uruchamianych projektów w różnych obszarach zarządzania organizacją.
