The author speaks about animated puppet being a part of the theatre art. The eminent drama writer and theatre philosophes have given it their thoughts and opinions: Samuel Foote, Heinrich von Kleis, Gordon Edward Craig. They considered being an important part of the theatre while animated by the puppeteers. The author enumerates various types of puppet-players: puppeteer nugget, puppeteer professional, educated in the theatre school. The last one ignores often importance of the puppet and he dismisses it by his own presence. The author proposes in his place another player that is puppeteer-performer, who is conscious of the creative energy existing in each material (puppet included) and is wishing to demonstrate this energy and to serve it.

The author imagined a short history of parallel worlds, created by human mind in order to have them as a model to play with and to solve human everyday problems. These worlds include various kinds of art such as literature, music, dance and fine art with its different forms of figures and puppets. At the beginning figures were treated by men as small idols and gradually became the puppets of the puppet theatre. Among the greatest stories of human culture, Mahabharata and Birth of Jesus Christ became most popular among common people, reaching the status of folkloric presentation. Artists were also interested in figures and puppets both as an existential metaphor and a model for the actor. However their interest was temporary. Teachers and educationists using puppets as therapeutic instruments allowing their prot to feel the touch of transcendence showed more attachment to puppets as creatures on the edge of life and death.
