Tematem artykułu jest wizerunek Niemców w świadomości polskich uczniów gimnazjum w Löcknitz. Wyniki przeprowadzonych przez autorkę badań mają służyć odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy Niemcy są postrzegani przez pryzmat stereotypów. Z badań tych wynika, że w świadomości młodych Polaków istnieje dość wyraźny i jednocześnie rozbudowany wizerunek Niemców. Z jednej strony składa się na niego wiedza o kraju i mieszkańcach, wynikająca z własnych doświadczeń i codziennego przebywania w otoczeniu Niemców. Z drugiej strony w wizerunku Niemców ujawniają się elementy stereotypowego postrzegania. Autorka podkreśla, że respondenci częściej od negatywnych wyrażali pozytywne emocje wobec Niemców. Dlatego też można stwierdzić, że ogólny wizerunek Niemców charakteryzuje się względnie słabym nasyceniem stereotypami.

The results of a survey conducted in January 2007 among Polish students of the Junior High School in Löcknitz have been presented in this paper. The aim of this research was to answer a question how young Poles who attend the Junior High School in Löcknitz perceive the Germans and what image of Germans is being formed in their consciousness. Analysis of gathered data shows that a clear and at the same time well-developed image of Germans exists in the consciousness of young Poles, which consist of some elements of stereotypical perception. It has to be stressed that pooled students more often expressed positive rather than negative emotions toward the Germans. The overall image of Germans is characterized with less stereotypical image, which has been manifested in noticing attributes falling outside of the stereotype.
