Career Management System is one of the essential elements of the strategy. In the era of knowledge economy human capital is particularly important when it comes to getting a company's competitiveness. Design at Career System is based on a number of correlated elements that the company more efficient and easier management of human resources, both from businesses and employees but management careers within the organization requires commitment on both sides. Companies now recognize the importance of this activity, but not all can adapt to the prevailing trends. The article presents the issues of career management as part of corporate strategy in the context of theory and practice. The topic has been developed based on the results of the research a career management system by a foreign company. This allowed to make observations on how many achievements of Polish scientists is universal.
To be successful, a building project should be completed on time, meet clients requirements, delivered safely and within the planned budget. Choosing an appropriate contract arrangement is a key element in this process. There are many forms of contract used in practice. Authors are briefly described the main legal provision related to construction contract in Poland and Ireland. In Poland, the lack of generally applicable terms and conditions for contracts for public works significantly disorganizes the construction market. In the Civil Code is relatively little legislation directly relating to those contracts. Public procurement law also does not provide detailed regulations concerning contracts for public works, suggesting that it is possible to use the existing standards. In Ireland, these issues are sorted out. In the case of the public sector, there are ready-made standards which can be used by contractor authorities. In the private sector the parties can choose different standards which exist on the construction market. The different groups of contracts and their main forms were also discussed in the paper.

Pomyślne zakończenie przedsięwzięcia budowlanego oznacza terminowe zakończenie budowy, z uwzględnieniem założonego kosztu i jakości. Istnieje wiele form umów na roboty budowlane stosowanych w praktyce. Autorzy scharakteryzowali główne przepisy prawne związane z umowami na roboty budowlane w Polsce i Irlandii. W Polsce brak powszechnie obowiązujących zasad i warunków umów na roboty budowlane znacznie dezorganizuje rynek budowlany. W kodeksie cywilnym jest stosunkowo niewiele przepisów odnoszących się bezpośrednio do tych umów. Prawo zamówień publicznych nie przewiduje szczegółowych przepisów dotyczących kontraktów na roboty publiczne. W Irlandii, kwestie te są uporządkowane. W przypadku sektora publicznego, funkcjonują standardy, które mogą być wykorzystywane przez wykonawcę. Podobnie jest w sektorze prywatnym. W artykule przedstawione zostały różne rodzaje umów i ich główne formy.
