Since the mid-1980s, Günter Grass had brought up the issue of the future unified Germany. This article focuses on presenting characteristic features, connections and differences of Grass’s metaphorical visions of the landscape and transformation of his views on the unity of Germany. This connection confirms the way in which the story was told and illustrated, since intermediality is among the most eminent features of this presentation. I will focus on depictions of landscapes in texts and pictures from “Totes Holz” to “Ein weites Feld”.

Güntera Grassa krajobrazy niemieckiej jedności Od połowy lat osiemdziesiątych Günter Grass podejmował problematykę przyszłych zjednoczonych Niemiec w rysunkach i literackich opisach krajobrazu. Celem tego artykułu jest pokazanie cech charakterystycznych, powiązań i różnic jego metaforycznych wizji krajobrazu oraz przemianę jego poglądów na temat jedności Niemiec. Przedmiotem są opisy i rysunki krajobrazu od „Martwego lasu” do „Rozległego pola”.
