W pracy poruszono kwestie dotyczące znaczenia rynku wirtualnego, a także zaprezentowano nowe koncepcje marketingowe (modele RS i ICDT), które powinno stosować przedsiębiorstwo przenoszące swoją działalność z rynku tradycyjnego na rynek wirtualny. Omówiono zagadnienie wirtualnej przestrzeni handlowej. W opracowaniu dokonano analizy rynku wirtualnego, Internetu jako proponowanego kanału dystrybucji przez konsumentów dokonujących zakupów w sieci. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań przedstawiono sylwetkę oraz preferencje zakupowe e-konsumentów: częstotliwość nabywania produktów bądź usług, najpopularniejsze kategorie produktów, najważniejsze kryteria wyboru produktów w e-sklepach oraz problemy z tym związane. Artykuł ma charakter badawczy.

In her study, the author touched the issues concerning the importance of the virtual market as well as presented new marketing concepts (RS and ICDT models) which should be applied by the enterprise moving its activity from the traditional market to the virtual one. She discussed the issue of virtual trade space. In her study, the author carried out an analysis of the virtual market, the Internet as the proposed channel of distribution by consumers shopping on the net. In result of the carried out research she presented the figure and purchasing preferences of e-consumers: frequency of purchasing products or services, the most popular categories of products, the most important criteria of selection of products in e-shops as well as the problems related thereto. The article is of the research nature.

В работе затронули вопросы, касающиеся значения виртуального рынка, а также представили новые маркетинговые концепции (модели RS и ICDT), которые должны применяться предприятием, переносящим свою деятельность из традиционного рынка на виртуальный рынок. Обсудили вопрос виртуального торгового пространства. В разработке провели анализ виртуального рынка, интернета, как предлагаемого потребителями канала распределения, которые совершают покупки в сети. В результате проведенных исследований представили облик и закупочные предпочтения э-потребителей: частотность приобретения продуктов или услуг, самые популярные категории продуктов, самые важные критерии выбора продуктов в э-магазинах, а также связанные с этим проблемы. Статья имеет исследовательский характер.

The aim of the study was to determine the requirements for organic food expected by Polish consumers. A method of diagnostic survey was used in the study with the author’s research tool in the form of a survey questionnaire. The sample consisted of 1102 respondents. The Statistica 10.1 PL program was used for statistical analysis, including the analysis of discriminant function. The production of organic food should take place naturally without harmful substances. In Poland, the organic production has the potential to produce high protein and micronutrient products as well as of a reduced toxin contamination. The main places to purchase organic food were discount stores and those specializing in selling organic food as well as organic farms. It was emphasized that the respondents placed great importance on the accreditation of the product certification body on food packaging as well as on labeling these products as produced in ecological conditions. Currently the organic food market is considered to be a niche, but its importance is steadily increasing.
