In the first part of the article the author analyses sources of the present financial crises. In moral aspect, the main sources of that phenomenon are rooted in greed, low level of responsibility as well as neglect of moral standards (conduct) in financial sector. Second part of the article deals with consumer and manager attitudes during the crises. It is pointed out that numerous animators of the economic life see (seek) the main remedy for the crises in saving. Polish government initiated spectacular campaign to encourage saving. Financial sector, especially banks, don’t show much interest in carrying out structural changes. This is one of the premises which grow fears on whether after the crises, real changes in attitudes will be adopted by managers, especially bank managers, all other financial sector workers, and consumers who got accustomed to living on credit. This issue constitutes the third part of the article.

This article is a concise presentation of 150 volumes of „Prakseologia”. In the years 1962–1966, there appeared 22 volumes of „Materiały Prakseologiczne”. In 1966 the magazine changed its title to „Prakseologia”, but the first volume under this name was published as number 23. In the first period, the development of the magazine owed much to its institutional base. The Research Center for General Theory of Organization, founded in 1958 by the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences Prof. Tadeusz Kotarbiński, and from 1967 – the Research Center for Praxiology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. After 1990, following various organizational changes – scientific activities of the Research Center for Praxiology weakened, and the magazine was mainly supported by the Scientifi c Society of Praxiology founded in 1990. The author focuses on mono-thematic and occasional volumes, dedicated to prominent representatives of praxiology. „Prakseologia” has been published for nearly half a century and its scientific output cannot be fully described in a single article, it requires a thorough (profound) team study.

The article attempts to determine similarities and differences between various forms of social communication with special attention given to public relations. The author refers to the concepts of such handbook writers as: K. Wojcik, S. Black, and W. Furman, who tried to identify characteristic features of public relations, marketing, advertising, and publicity (campaigning). Various forms of social communication are discussed in praxiological and ethical context. From this perspective, public relations play the crucial role nowadays, however technological revolutions and tough (fierce) competition on the free market may cause far reaching unification of methods and techniques of social communication.

This acticle takes up isuues of educational preration for performing different social roles. The subject of the analysis is, in particular in the praxeological and ethical aspects, roles of great significance for social order to last and function. Amongst the profesional roles there are the roles of teachers, lawyers, managers, politicians and journalists. Amongst the natural roles there are the roles of parents and the retired. In addition we identify the role of a consumer. The modern education in general prepares well to a particular profession regarding its competence and knowledge but it underestimates the preparation in axiological and ethical aspects of it. We think that the natural roles ought to be as well under some paraeducational preparation.

The article is an attempt to answer the question about the current „condition” praxiology in Poland. If it is touched by stagnation or it felt into crisis. To answer the question, the author explored online records using Google searching and traditional paper publications from the years 2005–2014. Institutional resources of praxiology are admittedly scattered, but fortunately praxiology appears regularly in the magazine „Prakseologia” and the English-language yearbook „Praxiology”. Since 1990 the Learning Society of Praxiology operates to integrate the praxiology’s environment. There are several educational institutions dealing with detailed praxiology due to the profile of an university. There are plenty of publications of the problems of overall praxiology and management theory. Therefore praxiology is still alive, though nowadays it is dominated by the low-level generalization which is the theory of organization and management.
