Joanna Jędra\ Ewa Stawinoga SPOTKANIE CHRZEŚCIJAŃSTWA Z ISLAMEM – ANIOŁY IWANA BUNINA Streszczenie: Niniejszy artykuł to próba interpretacji trzech utworów poetyckich Iwana Bunina, zawierających motyw anioła. Pierwszy z wierszy – Михаил (1919) nawiązuje do tradycji chrześcijańskiej. Archanioł Michał zostaje ukazany jako Archistrateg zastępów niebieskich i Boży wojownik, swoim wyglądem przypominający cherubina z Księgi Rodzaju, strzegącego dostępu do Ogrodu Eden po upadku pierwszych ludzi. Ponadto zyskuje on miano ducha gniewu, zemsty i kary, czym Bunin nawiązuje do apokryficznego wizerunku Michała – zwycięskiego obrońcy w walce z Szatanem, a także do jego roli sędziego podczas Sądu Ostatecznego. Dwa pozostałe utwory – Сатана Богу (1903-1906) i Бессмертный (1906-1907) odsyłają do tradycji islamu. W obu przypadkach Koran służy jedynie za impuls twórczy dla Bunina. Pierwszy wiersz to poetycka wizja upadku aniołów i człowieka. Jego bohaterem jest Iblis – islamski zbuntowany anioł. W tekście rosyjskiego poety zyskuje on status demiurga – prawdziwego stwórcy człowieka, który przywodząc go do grzechu i odbierając mu wieczne rajskie życie, czyni z martwej i bezwolnej gliny (ulepionej przez Boga) nowego Adama, umożliwiając mu tym samym prawdziwą (ziemską) egzystencję. Drugi utwór prezentuje wizję końca świata. Według Koranu, ostatecznej zagłady na ziemi dokona Anioł Śmierci – Azrael (Izra’il). W wierszu Bunina towarzyszy mu inny anioł – Anioł Zemsty, pod którym, jak wynika to z zaprezentowanej analizy, kryje się sam Allach. Poeta odchodzi zatem od tradycyjnego – miłościwego i sprawiedliwego wizerunku Boga muzułman i przedstawia go jako budzącego strach, groźnego sędziego; dzierżącego miecz, przed którym nie umknie żaden grzesznik. Joanna Jędra\ Ewa Stawinoga MEETING OF CHRISTIANITY WITH ISLAM –ANGELS OF IVAN BUNIN Summary This article is an attempt to interpret the three poems by Ivan Bunin, containing the theme of angel which so far has not been the subject of detailed studies of experets in his work. The first of the poems - Михаил (1919) refers to the Christian tradition. Archangel Michael is shown as the Archistrateg of the heavenly hosts and God's warrior, by his appearance resembling a cherub from Genesis, guarding the access to the Garden of Eden after the fall of the first people. Moreover, he gains the spirit of anger, revenge and punishment, which Bunin refers to the apocryphal image of Michał - the victorious defender in the fight against Satan, as well as his role as a judge during the Last Judgment. The other two works - Сатана Богу (1903-1906) i Бессмертный (1903-1906) refer to the tradition of Islam. In both cases, the Koran serves only as a creative impulse for Bunin. The first poem is a poetic vision of the fall of angels and man. Its protagonist is Iblis - an Islamic rebellious angel. In the text of the Russian poet, it gains the status of a demiurge - the true creator of a man who bringing him to sin and taking away his eternal Paradise life, makes of dead and devoid of will clay (formed by God) a new Adam, thus enabling him to live a true (earthly) existence. The second work presents the vision of the end of the world. According to the Koran, the final annihilation on earth will be performed by the Angel of Death - Azrael (Izrael'il). In Bunin's poem it is accompanied by another angel - the Angel of Vengeance, under which, as the analysis shows, Allah himself is hidden. The poet departs from the traditional - the merciful and just image of Muslims' God and presents him as a fearful, threatening judge; wielding a sword, before which no sinner escapes.
