Celem artykułu jest ukazanie edukacji pracowników socjalnych na poziomie uniwersyteckim w Polsce i na Słowacji, w kontekście zmian społecznych i politycznych. Pierwsza część artykułu ma na celu zobrazowanie rozwoju kształcenia pracowników socjalnych w Polsce. Druga część, oparta na analizie dostępnych rządowych dokumentów strategicznych i koncepcyjnych, ma wyjaśnić ich wpływ na politykę państwa w dziedzinie szkolnictwa wyższego, w zakresie aktualnego stanu edukacji pracowników socjalnych na Słowacji. W trzeciej części ukazano wizję, priorytety i odpowiednie narzędzia na poziomie krajowym, stowarzyszenia pedagogów działających w zakresie pracy socjalnej.

The presented article aims at clarifying the situation in the field of social workers university education in Poland and Slovakia, taking into account social and political transformations in both countries. The first part of the article presents the origins of the beginning and development of social workers university education in Poland. The second part, based on an analysis of available governmental conceptual and strategic documents, clarifies the crucial influence of the state policy in the field of university education on the current state of social workers education in Slovakia. The third part, outlines a vision and the priorities as well as points to appropriate tools adopted on the level of national association of educators in the field of social work.

Teorie wyjaśniające działania w wolontariacie poprzez wskazanie poszczególnych atrybutów, można podzielić na te, które podkreślają motywy oraz te, które akcentują racjonalne działania oraz analizę kosztów i korzyści. Wiek i płeć są cechami różnicującymi wolontariat, w dużej części łączą się też z postrzeganiem i rozumieniem kapitału ludzkiego oraz zasobów społecznych. Rozważania poświęcono kontekstowi efektów związanych z pracą wolontariatu, jednocześnie dostrzeżono zróżnicowany wpływ organizacji oraz społeczności, a także cechy regionalne, co stanowi pole do eksploracji. W artykule przedstawiono wolontariat jako zachowanie prospołeczne na przykładzie państw Półwyspu Iberyjskiego.

Theories which explain the phenomenon of voluntary service by pointing to individual attributes can be grouped into those that emphasize motives and those that emphasize rational action and cost-benefit analysis. Age and gender are features differentiating voluntary service and they are, to a great extent, associated with perception and understanding of human capital and social resources. The present considerations focus on the context of effects related with volunteering. Attention was also payed to the varied impact of organizations and communities as well as of regional characteristics on individual decisions to volunteer which remains a fruitful field for exploration. The article presents volunteering as prosocial behavior at the example of the countries of the Iberian Peninsula.

Parkinson’s disease is one of the most frequent neurodegenerative disorders typically affecting people over the age of 50. The core symptoms of Parkinson disease are bradykinesia, tremor and plastic rigidity. Social scientific research on experiencing chronic illness focuses directly on pivotal players in health care – people who are sick. Health researchers, practitioners, and policy makers may claim to represent patients’ concerns. However, they seldom obtain systematic “in-depth” views of patients’ experience of health care, much less of what it means to live with continued illness. The research on experiencing chronic illness emphasizes how people come to view themselves as chronically ill, and how illness affects their lives.

Choroba Parkinsona jest jedną z najczęstszych chorób neurozwyrodnieniowych i dotyczy przede wszystkim pacjentów po 50. roku życia. Społeczne badania naukowe nad doświadczaniem chorób przewlekłych koncentrują się bezpośrednio na kluczowych graczach w służbie zdrowia – ludziach chorych. Badacze zdrowia, praktycy i decydenci mogą twierdzić, że reprezentują obawy pacjentów. Jednak rzadko uwypuklają opinie na temat doświadczenia pacjentów w zakresie opieki zdrowotnej, a tym bardziej w odniesieniu do tego, co oznacza życie z chorobą przewlekłą. Badania nad chorobą przewlekłą ukazują, jak ludzie postrzegają siebie jako osoby przewlekle chore i jak choroba wpływa na ich życie.

Behinderte sind eine Gruppe von Menschen, bei denen Ausstoßung aus der Gesellschaft sowie Armut besonders gefährdet sind. Dazu führen vor allem: negative gesellschaftliche Einstellungen; schwierigerer Zugang; niedriger Bildungsstand sowie niedriges Beschäftigungsniveau; ungenügende Unterstützung im Ausbildungsbereich; keine Wirtschaftspolitik, die zusätzliche, mit Behinderung verbundene Kosten kompensiert; keine zuständigen spezialisierten Dienste, was schließlich dazu ver- anlasst, dass diese Menschen mehrmals institutionelle Fürsorgeformen in Anspruch nehmen müssen. Diese Tatsache anerkennend, haben die Europäische Union und Mitgliedsstaaten diese Menschen in jegliche Handlungen einbezogen, die gesellschaftliche Marginalisierung anstreben. In letzten Jahrzehn- ten konnte man wesentliche Änderungen in der Wahrnehmung der Behinderten bemerken. Seit einigen zehn Jahren werden in der Union Handlungen zugunsten völliger gesellschaftlicher Integration aufge- nommen. Es wird eine Idee der Bildung von Gesellschaft, die offen für alle ist, verbreitet, ohne Rück- sicht auf individuelle Einschränkungen. Die Menge der in diesem Bereich aufgenommenen Handlun- gen wurde Inspiration für vorliegendes Nachdenken, in dem Versuch gemacht worden ist, ausgewählte Grundsätze der Sozialpolitik der EU gegenüber den Behinderten zu vertreten.

Parents who are emotionally unavailable are often immature and psychologically affected themselves. As difficult as it is to believe, emotionally distant parents face their own emotional problems that might go back as far as to their own childhood and be rooted in the attitude of their own parents often unable to meet the emotional and psychological needs of their child. Typical symptoms characteristic of adults who are emotionally immature and detached include, but are not limited to: rigidity, low stress tolerance, emotional instability with aggression, unstable relationships and attention-seeking. The paper aims to present difficulties encountered by people experiencing emotional dissatisfaction in the family (in sociological terms).

Rodzice, którzy są niedostępni emocjonalnie, często sami są emocjonalnie niedojrzali. Mają wiele własnych problemów, które sięgają okresu ich dzieciństwa. Występował w ich życiu deficyt rodziców, którzy nie byli w stanie zaspokoić emocjonalnych i psychologicznych potrzeb swojego dziecka. Objawy występujące u osób dorosłych, niedojrzałych emocjonalnie obejmują między innymi: sztywność emocjonalną, niską tolerancję na stres, niestabilność emocjonalną z agresją, niestabilne relacje oraz szukanie uwagi. W artykule podjęto próbę ukazania problemów, z którymi spotykają się osoby doświadczające niezaspokojenia emocjonalnego w rodzinie (w ujęciu socjologicznym).

The presence or appearance of social problems is associated with the continuous search for new approaches, forms and methods of social work, creating efficient solutions based on a thorough analysis of scientific literature, research, as well as their use by practitioners, often encompassing supervision by the creators or experienced implementers. Among the most recent examples of the concept of using the idea of empowerment, inter alia, an approach which concentrates on solutions, positive psychology, case management, the supported employment model, and an approach based on the building and development of society. Moreover, one must draw attention to motivational dialogue and family group conferences, video training communication, genogram, or the accompaniment method and outreach method. Bearing in mind the necessity of engaging in work with individuals who need the assistance of a social worker, the goal of considerations was to show selected innovative solutions in contemporary social work.

Występowanie czy pojawianie się problemów społecznych wiąże się z ciągłym poszukiwaniem nowych podejść, form i metod pracy socjalnej, tworzeniem efektywniejszych rozwiązań, opartych na wnikliwej analizie literatury naukowej, badaniach, jak również ich zastosowaniem przez praktyków, niejednokrotnie objętych superwizją przez twórców czy też doświadczonych realizatorów. Wśród najnowszych przykładów koncepcji, wykorzystujących idee empowerment, można wymienić m.in.: podejście skoncentrowane na rozwiązaniach, psychologię pozytywną, zarządzanie zasobami przypadku, model zatrudnienia wspieranego, podejście oparte na budowaniu i rozwoju społeczności. Ponadto należy zwrócić uwagę na dialog motywujący oraz konferencję grupy rodzinnej, a także wideotrening komunikacji, genogram czy metodę towarzyszenia i metodę outreach. Mając na uwadze konieczność podejmowania pracy z osobami potrzebującymi pomocy pracownika socjalnego celem rozważań uczyniono ukazanie wybranych innowacyjnych rozwiązań we współczesnej pracy socjalnej.
