Polska nie jest przygotowana na przyjęcie imigrantów. W świetle prawa Romowie rumuńscy nie stanowią polskiej mniejszości etnicznej, ani też ich sytuacja nie kwalifikuje ich do uzyskania statusu uchodźcy. Polskie prawo segreguje Romów rumuńskich, spychając ich na margines i w skrajne ubóstwo. Obecne przepisy faworyzują pożądanych ekonomicznie imigrantów, a tych niepożądanych wyrzucają poza system. Taka polityka prowadzi do skrajnego ubóstwa, patologizacji i wykluczenia. Wykluczenie budzi społeczny opór i wytwarza taktyki oporu. Opisane wydarzenia są próbą połączenia badania w działaniu z walką z wykluczeniem.

Poland is not prepared to receive immigrants. Under Polish law, Romanian Roma are not a polish ethnic minority. Their situation also does not qualify them for refugee status. Polish law segregates Romanian Roma, pushing them to the bottom of society and in extreme poverty. Current legislation favours economically desirable immigrants and pushes undesirable immigrants beyond the system. This policy leads to extreme poverty, pathologization and exclusion. Exclusion raises social resistance and creates resistance tactics. The events described in this paper are an attempt to connect action research with the fight against exclusion.
