The Synod of the Archdiocese of Poznań, that ended in 2008, is currently implemented on several planes that can be described as of liturgical-catechetical character. Crucial to this implementation are three functions for the fruition of the Church-Community: liturgy, mistagogy and charity, which must mutually interweave. Only in this way, the koinonia en Christo that is, the communion in Christ, can be established. The priests play the essential role in the implementation of the Synod understood in this way. They are the first entity to introduce the Synod in the life of the parish community. Parish Pastoral and Financial Councils are also of great importance. The realization of the Synod is accomplished also in the framework of both children’s education at schools and the parish catechesis. The peculiar dimension of the presentation of the achievements of the Synod belongs to the Catholic press.
