The article is dedicated to how search is regulated in the Act of 16th February 2007 on competition and consumer protection. It especially focuses on the amendments to the regulations related to this issue that are in force since 18th January 2015, introduced with the Act of 10th June 2014 on the amendments to the Act on competition and consumer protection, and the Act – Code of Civil Procedure. The article describes the legal basis and the course of carrying out a search aimed at obtaining, by a competition and consumer protection body, of material that may be used as evidence in proceedings with the involvement of the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK).
