The paper offers a short description of the historical lineage of contemporary Polish-Ukrainian relationship. The common geopolitical situation is being deliberated and an interpretation of the common historical experiences is being proposed. A special focus is given to problems connected with the place of Poland and Ukraine within the changing European order, as well as to the issues related to the social history of Middle and Eastern Europe. The paper includes a commentary on the ways in which this common heritage might be dealt with today.

Tekst przedstawia krótką próbę określenia historycznego rodowodu dzisiejszej sytuacji polsko-ukraińskiej. Rozważany jest aspekt wspólnej sytuacji geopolitycznej i proponowana pewna interpretacja wspólnych doświadczeń historycznych w skróconej perspektywie historycznej. Podkreślone zostały zwłaszcza wątki powiązane z usytuowaniem Polski i Ukrainy w zmieniającym się kształcie Europy oraz z historią społeczną Europy środkowej i wschodniej. Tekst kończą uwagi o charakterze komentarza, dotyczące sposobów współczesnego radzenia sobie z tym dziedzictwem.

The essay aims at a specification of socio-cultural characteristics of listening to music. The characteristics in question are considered on four interdependent levels: (1) the one of musical habitus as an effect of the social process of musicalisation; (2) the one of behaviorally organized ways of listening; (3) the one of the axiological orientation of an act of listening; (4) the one of the conceptual organization of the act of listening.

Artykuł poświęcony jest rozpatrzeniu społeczno-kulturowych wyznaczników aktu słuchania muzyki. Wyznaczniki te analizowane są na czterech zasadniczych poziomach: (1) poziomie habitusu muzycznego jako efektu społecznego procesu muzykalizacji; (2) poziomie behawioralnie określonych sposobów słuchania; (3) poziomie aksjologicznego zorientowania aktu słuchania oraz (4) poziomie pojęciowej organizacji aktu słuchania.
