Maternity and professional career become two significant constituents of woman’s life. Women are those who innumerably become the building blocks of the entire family. Frequently, the closest surrounding tries to influence woman’s perception of being a mother and an employee, forcing her even to have an appropriate attitude towards particular life positions, which are often stereotyped. Within a society, there might be observed various attitudes towards the role of a woman as a mother and an employee. Some people cannot come to terms with rejecting a career development by a woman in order to spend time with her family. Others do not understand why a woman is willing to work instead of being fully devoted to her family. Moreover, miscellaneous women’s magazines are also divided in their opinions. Nevertheless, as the history shows, considering today’s economic status and changes in people’s mentality, a woman is the one to decide which path of life to follow, with regard to her personal feelings and desires. The economy, which frequently forces women to make decisions against themselves, cannot be omitted. Despite that fact, I would say that a woman is ‘the master of her own destiny’, the one who is completely confident with herself and her life expectancies. It is not important what type of academic degree she received, whether she is a ‘humanistic’ or ‘scientific’ type, whether she is single or in a relationship; she is the one to make every single decision. Nobody has any right to impose on her one’s assumption, suggestion or proposition.
