One of the ways to stimulate the social and economic development is the stimulation of entrepreneurship by the creation of appropriate conditions for the activity of the enterprises.There are good reason why sometimes entrepreneurship is called the fourth factor of production,alongside with the labor, land and capital. Creation the special economic zones (SEZs) in theweakly developed or affected by problem of high unemployment areas is one of the solutionsthat facilitate doing a business. SEZs were created not only to attract the investments fromoutside, but also to stimulate the local entrepreneurship.This study should clarify the inﬂuence of SEZs on the entrepreneurship development.According to the presumptions the lands belonging to the special economic zones have bettereconomic indicators than adjacent areas. The analysis can answer the question: What is theinﬂuence of tax reliefs and other preferences used in the SEZs on the entrepreneurship development?

The reorganization of the army in last few years has been caused major changes in the spatial distribution of military units. Some of them have been completely liąuidated, while others have been expanded and modernized. This has contributed to changes in the functional-spatial structure of urban areas associated with the army. This is particularly evident in smaller cities where the army and the community linked to it have a significant impact on the shaping of urban space. Article aims to describe the impact of a military unit on the transformation of functional-spatialstructure of a smali town, which Łask is. Development of this town, for over fifty years connected with the army, is largely associated with localized in the neighborhood the military facilities. In addition to military infrastructure on the formation of the spatial structure of Łask affects the belonging to the Ministry of Defense residential buildings for individual workers and their families. The process also includes changes in land use of former military unit.

Dokonująca się w ostatnich latach reorganizacja armii spowodowała duże zmiany w przestrzennym rozmieszczeniu jednostek wojskowych. Część z nich została całkowicie zlikwidowana, inne zostały rozbudowane i unowocześnione. Przyczyniło się to także do przemian w strukturze funkcjonalno-przestrzennej obszarów miejskich związanych z wojskiem. Szczególnie widoczne jest to w przypadku mniejszych ośrodków miejskich, w których wojsko i społeczność z nim związana mają istotny wpływ na kształtowanie przestrzeni miejskiej. Artykuł ma na celu przedstawienie wpływu jednostki wojskowej na przeobrażenia struktury funkcjonalno- -przestrzennej małego miasta, jakim jest Łask. Rozwój tego ośrodka, od ponad pięćdziesięciu lat związanego z wojskiem, w dużej mierze uwarunkowany był ulokowaniem w jego pobliżu obiektów wojskowych. Oprócz infrastruktury stricte wojskowej na kształtowanie struktury przestrzennej miasta wpływają należące do resortu obrony obiekty mieszkalne, przeznaczone dla pracowników jednostki i ich rodzin. Proces przeobrażeń nie ominął również zagospodarowania terenów powojskowych, powstałych po likwidacji jednej z jednostek.
