The article discusses the issues determining the meaning of knowledge in the increase of innovativeness on rural areas. The conditions were presented, influencing the level of preparation of rural inhabitants for implementation of innovation in both agriculturalfood sector (firmly related to the rural areas ) and rural social infrastructure. The relations and conditions were showed, existing in innovative processes, especially including those between educotional level represented by rural inhabitants and possibilities of the utilisation of innovations. The conditions were identified that should be completed in order to the e cient contribution of the rural human resources to development of the agricultural-food sector and the countryside.

Artykuł omawia zagadnienia warunkujące znaczenie wiedzy we wzroście innowacyjności na obszarach wiejskich. Przedstawiono warunki decydujące o stopniu przygotowania mieszkańców obszarów wiejskich do wdrażania innowacji zarówno w sektorze rolno-spożywczym trwale związanym z obszarami wiejskimi jak i infrastrukturze społecznej wsi. Wykazano powiązania, a także uwarunkowania jakie występują w procesach innowacyjnych, w tym zwłaszcza pomiędzy stopniem przygotowania edukacyjnego mieszkańców obszarów wiejskich, a możliwościami wykorzystania innowacji. Zidentyfikowano warunki jakie powinny być zrealizowane by zasoby kapitału ludzkiego na obszarach wiejskich mogły skutecznie przyczynić się do rozwoju sektora rolno-spożywczego i wsi.

The study presents the role of the Government in the creation of farm advisory policy, with particular emphasis on its importance to the conditions for the implementation of advisory services. On the basis of the documents that summarize the activities of the Working Group of the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (CWG AKIS) within the framework of the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR), including SWG report AKIS “Knowledge and Innovation Systems of farming to the future – the foresight“, in relation to the consultancy services shows you how to approach implementation consulting services. Attention was also on the synergies between the objectives pursued and the Government policy advisory services with the funds and advisory support interactive model of innovation in agriculture. The proposals should contribute to the construction of efficient farm advisory system, effectively supporting the development of the agro-food sector and rural areas.
