This paper is a result of work carried out under research grant for development the Model of Logistic System of Poland in terms of transport co-modality. The paper presents problems of rational apportioning cargo flows within transportation network. Regarding transport co-modality, the optimization task of apportioning material flow through transportation infrastructure elements was formulated. The assessment of adjusting transportation network to transportation tasks was provided with regard to transportation system development. Technical and ecological conditions of material movement process were given special consideration.
One of the priorities in modern concept of urban management is municipal waste management as a part of disposal or reverse logistics. Solving waste management problems as transport problems should embrace conditions of sustainable development. The paper presents aspects of organization of reverse logistics in Warsaw agglomeration including current situation and scale of the task. The selected aspects of multicriteria decision support are described and important elements of defining criteria preferences are pointed. The basis of MAJA method and rank method applied in SuperChoose software are presented. Application is a computer tool supporting decision making within selecting alternative ways of organization waste collection in urban area. Paper includes calculation example for real data from Warsaw agglomeration.
The article defines the assignment problem of tasks to resources in a transport company. The paper describes mathematical model of a transport system taking into account the assignment of vehicles to the tasks. It also provides stages of creation of the genetic algorithm for solving the assignment problem in the transport company.
This article is about formal (mathematical) version of chain supply from car factory to local dealers. The first step was a scheme this process, called model and trying to write formal definitions every points and relations between them. This article is an adaptation formal language in specific market of cars distribution.
The paper contains considerations concerning the approach to determin acceptable plans for distribution in urban areas. The distribution systems as an area of research in terms of reliability and ecological transport were presented. Multilevel distribution systems were characterized. Formalization of the city transport network model and optimization task were done. An algorithm to solve the problem of route optimization based on the solution of the VRP (Vehicle Routing Problem) was proposed and described.
The paper presents selected aspects of an innovatory approach to formalization of a notation of Polish Logistics System regarding transport co-modality issue. The importance of external transport in logistics process implemented by Polish Logistics System was discussed. The preliminary identification of Polish Logistics System model elements and links between them were made. As a result the formalization of notation of Polish Logistics System structure was proposed.
This article focuses on the application of the queueing theory for the analysis of transport processes with regard to rail traffic. Selected aspects of queueing theory application for the analysis and rail traffic flow assessment are presented. A literature review regarding process modelling in rail transport using mass service theory models was performed. In order to study rail traffic flow, the application Java Modelling Tools- JSIM graph was used. The train movement process was analysed with regard to the traffic flow. The study was conducted on the basis of selected stretches of railway lines, numbers 2 (central long-distance in Warsaw) and 448 (central suburban in Warsaw).
Co-modality means the efficient use of transport modes operating on their own or in multimodal integration in the European transport system to reach an optimal and sustainable exploitation of resources. Due to the growing demand for freight transport high efficiency and co-modality of different branches of transport in the European transport system are imperative. The basic criterion for assessing the effectiveness of all the available and proposed solutions must be economical bill, complex conducted both in terms of micro (at the level of each customer) and macro (at the level of the whole transport sector), endearing issues of economic, ecology, social, etc. An important aspect are the additional costs such as those related to the creation of new element of infrastructure, especially point elements of infrastructure.
