Analysis of the structure of financial outlays coming from various sources of financing the industrial health service is significant not only in the context of planning financial outlays on this sphere of services. It constitutes also an indispensable and complementary element of the costs account dealing with the functioning of health care centres. The article analyzes relationships between demand for health care services and chosen economic factors . There are discussed here such factors determining demand for health care services as: incomes of population, prices of medical services, cost of time lost by the patient on waiting for the service and commuting to the physician. The task of this article is to present results of the studies concerning these problems in the context of health care planning in Poland. , •. As the studies of a similar kind have not been undertaken in Poland so far it is worth considering the aims and possibilities of their conducting in conditions of the Polish health care system There are also given here several examples of utilizing the results of analyses focussed on relationships between demand and chosen economic factors determining this demand. This problem seems of bee specially significant when the assumptions of the reform in the field of socio-welfare services are taken in to account since one of its postulates speaks about the necessity of analyzing elasticity of demand in the sphere of health care in Poland.
